"Nyla come on please. Please it will be fun." Laura whined.

"Baby I am sorry but I am really not into it." I signed. Laura has been convincing me to go to the game and the after party today, but partying has never been my thing.

"Girls trust me she is the most boring person ever. She has not gone to a single highschool party. You should have seen the way Cass used to beg her to come with us." Jeremy said. We are all walking to our school. Me and Laura hand in hand and behind us Jeremy and Bree.

"Bree what is up with you. You are never so quiet, are you okay?" I asked as I turned around to look at her. She was looking at her feet.

"Yeah I am fine." She said smiling at me.

"Yeah you are mighty fine." Jeremy chuckled and I give him a look. "Sorry I was just joking." He mumbled as he pulled his hand away from Bree's shoulder.

"Back to the serious topic. Ny please the football team throws the best parties." I give laura a pointed look telling her to drop it.

"Hello kids!!" I heard George shout as he jogged towards us.

"Are you guys excited for the game today. I am so pumped up. I don't think I will be able to study a single word today." George said with a big smile. He is always like this loud and happy. His grin is so contagious, no one can ever be sad around him.

"Yeah like you study a single word any other day." Laura said rolling her eyes.

"That is not the point, don't be mean to me." He said with a frown and punching Laura's forearm. "Ahh, keep your hands to yourself you caveman, that hurts." Laura whined rubbing her arm. George didn't say anything just attacked laura with a hug, she tried to push away but we all can see her smile. He finally let her go, a grin still plastered on his face.

"Anyways Nyla you coming right? I am confident we will beat westside." He asked me and I really want to say no but that glint in his eyes also I know how much it means to him, I just couldn't make him sad.

"Yeah sure. Of course" I smiled at him and his grin grew, if that was even possible. "Great and you all also better be there." He pointed to the rest and then jogged away when his teammates called him. I kept on looking at him run away because I am too scared to look up, I can feel Laura glaring at me.

"Nyla Henderson care to explain yourself." Laura gritted.

"Sorry" I apologised giving her puppy dog eyes. She glared at me but then huffed giving me a small smile and I returned a large grin.

"I am off see ya'll later." Jeremy said waving at us and soon we all went to our classes.

The school went by in a blur, with me pushing myself to not fall asleep. Even though teachers tried but none of the students were interested in studying today, they were all buzzing with excitement for the first game of the season. It is also against westside, which from what I have heard is a very strong team.

At around 5.30 pm girls came over at my place to get ready, the game starts at 7 pm.

"I have heard the after party this time is going to be better as instead of the whole school and anyone from other school being invited, only some of the selected people are invited." Bree said as we all lounge in my bedroom with different snacks.
