I walked down the corridor still in my armor and walked towards the dungeons where my bed chambers are. The fight was quick and Amarantha didn't like quick, she wanted me to draw out the fight for longer. Tomorrow would be bad, I knew it already I would face punishment for a quick fight.

The pained moans from the dungeon snapped me out of my trance. I looked at the cells full of prisoners or just normal Fae that didn't deserve to be in here. I walked towards my room.

It was nothing more than a passageway behind a tapestry, but it led to my rooms. I went through the passageway closing the door behind me, the door is so thick that you can't hear any noise from my chambers.

I stepped through the other door and into my bedroom. It was nothing fancy or big but it had a small kitchen, a bathroom, a bedroom, and a closet, It was my own little oasis here.

I walked into my kitchen and grabbed two loafs of bread, I cut them into 8 different pieces and walked back out to the dungeons. I snuck towards the Fae prisoners.

The first one male, he had blueberry colored hair and vibrant but torn wings, like a dragonfly's.

"Here." I whispered and put my hand with the bread through the bars.

"You're back." He said smiling and took the bread from my hand. As I was pulling back he grabbed my wrist and pulled me back. "Thank you," he whispered "if it weren't for you I would have starved by now."

"You don't need to thank me." I said smiling and left down the corridor to the next Fae.

The next one was a female, young barely 20 years old, ink black hair and light blueish grey skin.

"Here." And I handed her bread.

"Who are you?" She asked

"I'm no one." And I tossed the bread into her lap and smiled at her.

The third one was my favorite. A small female child with snow white hair and pale blue skin, she was so sweet and innocent. "Hello Frostina." I smile sweetly at her and put the bread through the bar.

"Phoenix!" And she ran towards me, we hugged through the bars and she smiled wide looking up at me. I smiled back and handed her bread.

"I have another surprise for you and I pulled out a stuffed polar bear from my cloak.

She gasped and hugged the bear. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" She repeated happily and she hugged me again.

"Of course, I have to get going the others will want their bread too." I whispered as pulled away

"Wait... I have two questions."

"What are they?"

"Well, one why do you do this every night, feed us, care for us? When no one else does."

"Because it is right, you don't deserve any of this. So I will help you through this, and I will get you out." I promised to her

"My other question is, can you teach me to read? I hear the others talk about books and how good it was to read."

I looked down at her and smiled sadly she had been put in here about 2 years ago.

"Well, in three days it will be your 10th birthday, and I'll bring you a book to read on your birthday okay?" I asked her smiling

She gasped and smiled broadly, "Really! You'll teach my to read!"

"Yes, yes, now quiet before a guard hears you." I whispered to her

"Okay!" She whisper yelled and hugged her bear tightly.
I turned away and walked down the hall and gave bread to more of the prisoners.
