Sabrina stayed majorly close to whoever's side she could. First it was Richie, on the trip up the the cliff, but as they sat down it became Bill because they were sitting side-by-side.Sabrina smirked as Beverly grabbed out a boom box and began playing music. Next she laid out her towel and laid down, causing Sabrina to laugh as she knew all the boys were going to be a little distracted now.
Bill took all the boys staring as his opportunity to talk to Sabrina. "W-what fully happened in the w-water?" Billy whispered in question. "You're going to think I'm crazy, Bill." Sabrina placed her elbows on her knees and ran her hands across her face. "I won't." He told her, shaking his head slightly. "I got pulled under. At first I thought it was a joke and I continued to think that when I saw the face of Stanley below me, holding my ankle."
"Y-you saw S-Stanley?" He whispered and the girl nodded, "I thought it was all fun in games, but soon I began to lose oxygen and I couldn't breathe so I kicked out of his grip and came above water. That's when I screamed for help before I was pulled back under again, but this time I didn't see Stanley." A tear fell down her face, "W-what did you s-see?"
"I saw a-" Sabrina got cut off by Richie as he yelled, "News flash, Ben! Schools out for summer!" In this weird accent he tended to do a lot. "Oh, that? That's not school stuff." Ben replied as Bill and Sabrina looked at each other, 'later' she mouthed to him and he nodded his head.
"Who sent you this?" Richie grabbed a postcard out of Ben's backpack, that Ben quickly snatched, "No one."
"It's kind of rude to just dig through people's stuff, Rich." Sabrina laughed. "It's kind of rude to ruin our fun by drowning, Sab." Richie began laughing, reaching his hand up to Stanley for a high five, but Stanley shook his head and declined. "Not funny, dude." Eddie told Richie.
"I wasn't drowning, something was pulling me under." Sabrina mumbled to herself as Richie continued to go through Ben's backpack. "What's with the history project?" He asked as he opened a folder.
"When I first moved here..." Richie handed the folder over to Billy as Ben spoke, "I didn't have anyone to hang out with, so I just started spending time in the library."
Sabrina laid her head on Billy's shoulder so she could look at the folder also. "You went to the library? On purpose?" Richie asked as Bill and Sabrina were skimming through the papers in the folder. "Oh, I wanna see." Beverly said, jumping up from her laying position and running behind Bill and Sabrina so she could see what was inside the folder.
"Your hair..." Billy looked behind him and faced the girl, "Your... Your hair is beautiful, Beverly." Ben told her. "Oh. Right. Thanks." The red-head smiled. "Yeah, you rock the short hair look." Sabrina smiled at her when she took her head off Billy's shoulder and got a good look at the girl's hair.
"Here, pass it." Richie said to Bill, causing Bill to give the folder to him. "Why is it all murders and missing kids?" Richie asked, Sabrina placing her head on Billy's shoulder once again.
"Derry's not like any town I've ever been in before. They did a study once, and it turns out people die or disappear six times the national average." Ben informed them, "You read that?" Bev asked.
"And that's just grown-ups. Kids are worse. Way, way worse. I've got more stuff if you wanna see it." Ben told them, in which Eddie began shaking his head, mumbling "No, no." , but everyone ignored him and agreed, getting up from their spots to put their clothes on.
Sabrina walked over to her shirt and bent over to grab it, but didn't see her pants. When she turned around to ask someone if they'd seen them, she saw all the boys, except her brother, staring at her. "You guys are gross, that's my sister!" Eddie shrieked, "Okay, perverts, anyone seen my shorts?" She laughed as they all tried to quickly look away. "They're right here, Sabrina." Beverly threw the shorts to her as the girls laughed at the boys. "Thanks, Bev." She thanked and quickly slid them up her legs.
After everyone was dressed, they all hopped onto their bikes and followed Ben's lead to his house. They all threw their bikes down in his front yard and ran into the house, following Ben to his room. Sabrina entered behind Bill and walked forwards to look at all the information on Ben's walls. "Wow." Richie stated when he walked through the door.
"Cool, right?" Ben asked, but Richie declined, "No. No, there's nothing cool. There's nothing cool." Sabrina was having a hard time with telling if he was being sarcastic or not so she just laughed at his words.
"What's that?" Stanley asked, pointing to one of the photos on the wall that himself, Sabrina, Eddie, and Richie were all looking at. "Oh, that? That's the charter for Derry Township." Ben responded.
"Nerd alert." Richie pushed up his glasses. "I think it's cool." Sabrina whispered, running her fingers along one of the photos, "Yeah, it's actually really interesting. Derry started as a beaver trapping camp-" Richie cut off Ben to say, "Still is, am I right, boys?", but everyone ignored him and let Ben continue, "Ninety-one people signed the charter that made Derry. But later that winter, they all disappeared without a trace."
"The entire camp?" Eddie asked with surprise. "There were rumors of Indians, but no sign of an attack. Everybody just thought it was a plague or something. But it's like one day everybody just woke up and left. The only clue was a trail of bloody clothes leading to the well house." Ben finished.
Sabrina's eyes were scanning all the photos until she saw one of a bunch of people, her eyes being drawn to a inhumane figure. The clown from the quarry. "What the fuck?" Her mouth dropped as she quickly backed up, bumping into Ben's bed and falling onto the floor.
"Shit, you okay, Sab?" Richie asked, slightly laughing at her fallen figure. "I-I need to leave." Sabrina quickly stood to her feet. "What? Why?" Eddie's head shot over to look at his sister. "I just need too- I'll see you guys tomorrow." She quickly left the room, but stopped when she felt someone grab her wrist. "W-what happened?" She turned to see that the hand latched around her wrist belonged to Bill.
"What I saw at the quarry? It was in one of those photos, Bill, and now I'm freaking out. What if somehow all of this is connected? What if this is all because of the same thing?" Her eyes pleaded for an answer, but Billy had no clue how to respond. He didn't know what she was talking about.
"W-what are you t-talking a-about?" He stuttered and Sabrina ran a hand through her hair. She was losing her mind. She was scared.
"The 91 people that went missing? The kids that are missing now? You don't think it's all connected?" Sabrina asked him. "S-Sabrina, the 91 p-people going m-missing was years and years ago, how could it be connected to the d-disappearances now?" Billy questioned.
"I don't know, B- but I'm gonna figure it out." And with a swift kiss to his cheek, she left.
