Emma Swan, a twenty-eight year old woman from New York City, drove away to take a break from the city. About 70 miles away, in the misted a stom in pouring its worst at her, her car hydroplaned into a tree and her car crashed. For a few minutes her eyes fell shut. Her mouth turned into a sideways frown and her car soon lit in a blazing fire.

Her legs were locked in the car. 'I'm going to die burning to death.' Emma says in her head. Her mind fuzzes and she sees a dark figure, touching her with strangely cold, yet also warm, hands. Emma wakes up in the middle of an open meadow. 'How the hell did I get here?' Emma thinks, unitl her memories come flooding back to her.

She stands up and looks around. Sighing, she walks, but to little avail. Limping, she makes her way to her destroyed car and picks up her jacket. She put the burned leather on and then went to lean agasint a tree. Sighing she fell asleep for a few hourse before waking up at the time of dusk. She groaned and pushed off the tree and decided to see if she could spot any small gas stations or towns nearby.

The blonde began limping her way down the gray road before hearing a husky voice that seemed magical. "Who's there!" Emma called out. She sees a figure move out from a tree and move closer to come into Emma's view. Long brunette hair, tight, dark, burgundy dress, pale and flawless skin, with long eylashes and glowing eyes.

The woman, or monster, suddenly disappeared. Emma shook her head and began frantically looking for the beautiful woman. Suddenly she feels a cold, but weirdly warm breath tickle her skin on the back of her neck. Emma turns to find her staring into the glowing eyes of a beautiful, yet spine-tingling of the woman-like creature.

The woman steps closer, clearly breaking boundaries for Emma as Emma suddenly jumps back. The dark woman chuckles in a husky voice that Emma finds herself thrilled with and distracted by until she finds herself backed against a tree with the woman practically about to kiss her. As the woman leans in she suddenly turns and whispers in Emma's ear.

"I'm Regina, Regina Mills. Queen of the midnight monsters your kind fears." Emma melts into the whispering voice of the vampire queen. "Come with me. I can make you feel better. I can heal you." Regina whispers, once more into Emma's ear. The blonde nods, almost like she's in a trance and Regina slip her arm around Emma's waist and pulls her close, almost carrying her as vampires are much stronger than humans.

Emma falls asleep in the arms of Regina and Regina proceeds on to pick Emma totally up in bridal style and carry her to her castle. For three more days and two more nights, the blonde stays asleep while Regina heals her and helps to make her comfortable and fed. The queen ignored all of her servants', gaurds', and courts' opinions about caring for this, 'worthless human.'

Emma awakes on the third night. She awakes to the beautiful and mysterious brunette sitting on the end of the bed. Emma leans up and feels amazing, suddenly. "Um, hi. Where am I?" "You are in my castle, more specifically, my bed chambers. I'm sure you find my bed much satisfying?" Regina answers. Emma nodded and smiled shyly.

"How did you help me heal? Why?" Emma questioned. "I bit you." Regina chuckles as Emma's eyes fly wide open. "I'm joking dear. I used my magical blood to heal your wounds. I had to pour it down your stubborn throat. Might I add, your lips for quite soft though, darling. And for why I saved you-I saw in your eyes that you were going to be special to me. I don't know why yet, but until I figure it out, you are staying here. This will be OUR bed and bedchambers for now. I trust you can live with that until I make a fit room for your person?"
