Chapter 2 - The Train

You are now on your way to the train station with the hoard of
Weasley's in front of you. You decided to stay at the back after the tension between you and your brother since the fight a couple days ago.

The rest of the time in the leaky cauldron you spent your time in your room only coming out for food. Ginny came in 1 day but never stayed too long, you still hadn't forgiven her for telling your mum what happened.

Your mum had told your dad what happened and you ended up having a talk with them.

You were sitting in your room the day after yours and Ron's argument when your mum and dad came in.
"Your mum told me what happened Y/N" your father spoke quietly as if to not scare you off
"Next time you feel the need to do something like that, come and speak to us or one of your brothers just please don't harm yourself again" he said it as though it was that easy, like you wanted to but you didn't it was the only way you could feel something, anything other than sadness and pity for yourself.
"Okay, I'm sorry" you didn't want to explain it to them cause you know they wouldn't understand, they were too set in their ways.

You made it on to the platform and seen the large hogwarts express in all its glory. It was really magnificent and it took your breath away.

You put your trunk away with your siblings and decided to hang back and be the last to speak to your parents.

"Do you have everything dear?" Your mum asked for the 100th time today.
"Molly, you've already asked all of them that and even if they don't I'm sure we can send them anything they forgot" your father said to your mum so you didn't have to.

You hugged your mum goodbye and she kisses your cheek. You turned to your dad and smiled then embraced him in a hug as well. You pulled away and said goodbye, although your dad didn't let you go just yet
"Now remember be careful this year, Sirius Black still hasn't been caught and I don't want anything to happen to my children"
Your dad kept going on about this since Black escaped from Azkaban and this is the 3rd time you've heard this today, once at the leaky cauldron at breakfast, once before you left to come here and now.
"I know dad, always stay alert, but I have to go or the train will leave without me. I love you both" you said quickly before they could say anything else.

You continued onto the train and looked to see if you can find an empty compartment, you walked past one and seen Ron and his 2 friends in it, you just kept walking.

Finally you found an empty one and sat down next to the window waiting for the train to go. Before it left the station the doors to your compartment opened and you seen your favourite twins and sister.

Ginny say next to you while Fred and George sat across from the 2 of you.
"So are you excited to finally be coming to hogwarts?" George asked you, he didn't look that intrigued so your answer ended up being pretty vague,
"Yeah" that was it for the rest of the ride until your 3 siblings got up and left to change into their robes before you arrived.

They weren't gone long when the train suddenly stopped moving, you took a look outside but it was too dark to see anything.

Suddenly the temperature dropped dramatically and the window started to freeze in from the edges.

You heard the compartment door open and expected to see your siblings back but they were no where to be seen. Instead it was a floating dark mass with its boney fingers clinging to the door. You immediately knew what it was, a dementor, your father told you about them but you never thought you'd be looking at it in the flesh, or whatever it had.

It looked at you for a bit then began to move forward towards you. Panicking, you backed up to the window almost crawling up it to get as far away as possible but it was no use. The demon that guards Azkaban got closer and closer and began to inhale your face, it was the most awful thing you've ever felt. Like it was taking all the happiness you had. Which right now didn't seem to be much.

You started to feel faint but the dementor stopped and you seen a blinding bright light behind it, you didn't see who cast such a strong spell but you knew you had to thank them.

The dementor was gone and you began to slide down into your seat but missed the chair and fell on the floor like an idiot.

Feeling stupid you stood up and saw your siblings again
"Geez Y/N are you -"
Thats all you heard before your legs gave up on you and your mind went dark.

After a while you woke up but couldn't open your eyes so you just sat there. You could hear people talking and recognised it to be the twins and Ron.
"Where the hell are you going?" One of the twins snapped
"I'm going to see if Harry's okay, he's my best friend" Ron says as he began to walk away,
"Yeah but she's your sister" Ginny says "surely she has some more importance than Harry right now" she finished. For a couple seconds it was quiet and you waited for a response, one came but it wasn't the one you were hoping for,
"No" Ron walked away without another word.

You began to stir and tried to sit up, you felt someone help you up and lean you against the seat. Opening your eyes and it was just you the twins and your sister, they looked at you with worry in there eyes, Freddy passed you some chocolate and you didn't even hesitate to eat it, you knew it would help you feel better.
"Did you hear any of that" George asked you
"Yeah, unfortunately you sighed not meeting anyones gaze " what happened to Harry that was so important?"
The explained that Harry got attacked by the dementor as well and then explained about the man who saved him and you, apparently he was on his way to talk to the driver when he seen you.
"Did he say why it attacked me? I mean I didnt do anything to it" you explained but none of them had an answer for you.

Before long you were at hogwarts and your sibling made their way to the great hall for the feast while you waited for one of the teachers who was suppose to get you.
