{7} The Party

The Blacks held up a ball every year. With pureblood families coming from all around the world. And of course, my family was invited. I was happy because I'd get to see Sirius again. I hadn't seen him all summer. I wrote him a letter on how we could sneak in Peter and Remus.

"Y/n!"- my mom shouted from downstairs. "Come down I've got a surprize!"

"Coming mum!"

I went downstairs to find my mum holding a dress. It was a beautiful black dress.

"Merlins beard! This dress is beautiful mum!"

"Knew you'd like it."- she smiled."Now, go get dressed we're leaving soon. Off you go."

"Alright mum."

I went upstairs to change. The dress fit me perfectly. I went into my brothers room only to find him wearing these beautiful dress robes.

"Good afternoon James."- I said.

"Hello. Wow, looking beautiful sis."

"Why thank you! You look good too!"

"Thanks. Wish Evans would attend this party."

"Oi, James, you know how Siri's family feels about muggle borns. Besides stop thinking about her. We're gonna have loads of fun!"- I said.

"Kids come outside! We're going!"- Mum said.

"Let's go." - James said pulling me with him.

Puberty had worked well with James. He looked much more mature now. We both did. Lily doesn't know what she's missing out on.

"So, excited to see your friends?"- Dad asked.

"Of course!"- I said.

"Kids, promise me you won't do anything stupid."- Mum said.

"Well does sneaking in one of our half blood friends count as stupid?"- James asked. I elbowed him and gave him a "why would you say that!?" look.

"Uhm, well, I guess if you don't get found out it wouldn't be a problem."- Dad said.

"What?"- Me and James asked in union.

"We know how much you guys love those boys. I'd hate to agree with your father on that but you guys are inseperable. Plus, we knew you'd do something like this. It was predictable."- Mum said.

"We didn't think you'd be happy if we did that."- I said.

She didn't answer for a second but then she said "Oh no, I'm not happy. It's pretty rude to do something like that. But friendship is worth a lot so I expected it."

Me and James were shocked. I gave him a look that clearly meant "did she really just say that?" And he looked back at me with "I don't know, I think I'm in a dream." I could understand him easily. We were not telepathic, but we sure understood every look and movement the other had.

We finally arrived at the house and were greeted by Sirius' parents, Sirius and this other boy we hadn't met before. I grabbed Sirius into a big hug and so did James. Puberty had hit Sirius like a train. If he was attractive before, it was nothing compared to what he looked like now.We went off to where we were gonna stay.

"Guys, this is my younger brother, Regulus."- he said to us and Regulus waved at us. "He is starting his first year at Hogwarts."

"Nice to meet you!"- I smiled.

"This one has a habit of giving people bad nicknames so don't mind if she calls you Reginald."- Sirius chuckled pointing at me.

"Oh Siri, you don't have to be rude! I know deep down you love the nickname I call you. It's better than Galactic President Superstar MacAwesomeville."- I said.

"No, actually, that's better."- He said.

"Shove off."- I said. "Excited?"- I asked Regulus.

"Yes, I can't wait to leave this place."- he said. There was a sudden knock on the window.

"It's Remus guys."- I said. I carefully opened the window on which Remus climbed in. I hugged him tight.

"Oh uhm, okay."- He said. All the boys looked prettier.

"Looking good, Rem."- I winked at him.

"You look rather beautiful yourself."- he said winking back.

Sirius frowned and James said "back off my sister Remus." In a very serious tone.

"Oh James, don't act like that, you know my heart belongs only to Siri."- I said joking. A smile lit on Sirius' face

"Oh does it now?"- he asked eyeing Sirius.

"RUN!"- I shouted at Sirius gesturing for him to get away from James. James started chasing him but he must've remembered mums words and he stopped knowing the consequences.

"I was joking James."- I said pushing him on his shoulder. "So, Regie-"

"Oh you gave him a nickname too!? Bet he already hates you."- Sirius joked.

"No, it's okay."- Regulus said.

I smirked at Sirius "As I was saying, what class are you most excited about?"

"None."- He said. "Quidditch would be the best."

"Oh you'll get along with James quite fine." - I said. "He's Gryffindor seeker."

"Oh, is that so?"- Regulus turned to James and they started talking about quidditch.

"Bloody hell y/n. You really do look gorgeous!"- Sirius said. I could've sworn James' head did a 360° because Sirius somehow was looking at him scared. James was overprotective. He never let anyone hurt me.

"Took you long enough to notice."- I chuckled.

"Ehrm ehrm."- James said sitting beside me. "You two lovebirds better quit it. The dance is about to start."

"Care for a dance M'lady?"- Sirius asked.

"Gladly."- I said joining him in the dance room.
We danced for a while. I kept being spun around and it was fun. I saw mum looking at me with a grin on her face a few times. James was pissed.

"So, excited for the new year?" - Sirius asked.

"Can't wait!"

"What's it been? 100 years?"

I laughed "It felt like 1000 to me."

Sirius and James had gotten closer throughout second year. I was scared of ruining that.

"James is mad isn't he?"- I asked.

"Bloody hell, he's your twin! You know him better than me!"

"Well from what he looks like, he is. He's very protective of me."

"Well he's a damn good brother then."

"You bet right he is." - I said smiling at James.

Me and Sirius had danced for a bit more and then I had danced with Remus, and then Peter, and then Sirius again. The party came to an end.

"Bye bye, guys."- I said. "See you next week."
