Turned my face where the sun sets
Colder, the atmosphere gets
Still, I stayed as the old me
A mere loner stuck in my own reverie.

Drove the winding country road
Deciphering the words life has whispered
As my own shadow left me
I wandered around, so free.

With a facade of mountains vanishing from my sight
The liveliest of colors died
They turned to silhouettes
As deeper fair night gets.

It was a thought and a thought away
As this heart of mine stays
Staying in its place, in my world of bliss
And forever to stay in its place I'll forever wish.
