"So tell me, Ryth. How powerful are you, exactly?" Minerva questioned, while dangling her legs off of his shoulder. Giving the query consideration, he scratched his chin.
"Um... I think I could probably match Satella at full strength, but who knows? I could theoretically assume that, but given that I've never followed through with an attack that used the ridiculous amount of mana necessary, I can't be sure."
The Witch of Wrath stretched out her arms and legs, then leaned against his neck, "Was the move that you were about to use on me your full strength?"
"Full strength? Well, not exactly. That is my strongest spell, or attack, or whatever you prefer to call it, but had I been using it at its max potential, everything in that dimension might've... disappeared, to say the very least." Minerva shivered at the idea of such a powerful attack hitting her, but remembered that no matter the situation, she'd always be on the safe side of it.
"Anyways, we passed through the barrier unharmed, so as of now, we're in the clear to head back to the mansion. I'm going to run at a full sprint. Holding on tight would be a smart move." His right foot dug deep into the ground, then pushed off, propelling them at blinding speeds.
"GAAHHHH!!!" Minerva yelled, as her body was immediately sent back, with her hands being the only things keeping her from flying off. Her grip strength allowed her to hold on for more than enough time for him to return to the gates.
'It's daytime now... and... fuck...' Ryth and Minerva arrived at the Roswaal mansion by the time that the sky had turned to a clear baby blue. He looked through the bars of the gate and saw that Emilia was sitting on the grass with puck, "Alright, Minerva. I need you to remember this carefully. When you see my sister, you'll be in for a massive shock, so whatever you do, do not mention Satella once. You can talk all about what happened between the two of us, but leave her out. Got that?"
She was slightly confused about why he'd sounded as desperate as he did, but nodded her head in agreement.
"Ok, good. Also, hold on again."
"Wait wha-AAAAAHH!!!" Ryth leaped up and over the gate, startling Minerva once more. He landed on the ground with a small thud, alerting the girl across the field. Emilia, who heard the noise of Ryth's feet landing, looked over to see someone whom she hadn't seen for years.
"B-brother!!" Emilia's eyes heavily watered, and her mouth began to sputter.
"Oh wow..." Minerva quietly said, noticing the resemblance between her and the Witch of Envy.
Emilia stood up as quickly as she could, then ran to him at the limits of what her legs could carry her. Once she reached Ryth, she leaped into his arms, giving a tight squeeze.
"Hey... long time no see, isn't it?"
...
Ryth and Emilia, along with their respective spirits, entered the halls of the Roswaal mansion. While he'd been there the night before, Ryth hadn't seen everything in broad daylight, which gave the clearest view.
"Wow!! This place is beautiful!! I-it makes me think there's more good in the world!" Minerva exclaimed, giving off a few tears. She was sitting on Ryth's shoulders, letting her eyes wander all over the halls. Emilia, who hadn't actually noticed Minerva due to the fray of excitement she had when she saw her brother return, heard her voice and looked to see a small girl with blonde hair.
"Ryth, who's that?" She pointed at Minerva, who was staring upwards towards the ceiling, admiring the etched designs all over.
"Oh, well... um... you might be in a bit of shock if I told you." He averted his gaze, only making Emilia more interested.
