What a loon

I like to connect with nature.

I often leave my house, buzzing with activity and brimming with noise; to drive peacefully over the rising hills of the country side  . It is a bit out of the way, considering I live in the suburbs... But I don't mind. It's where I have room to think.

I slowly drove my car over the hill and smiled to myself as the sun cast bright rays through the window and bathed my face with warmth. I pulled over and stopped the engine. Leaning forward, I rested my caramel arms on the dash and gazed out into the ongoing fells. My eyes flicked to the ground, and before i knew it, I was running barefoot down a steep hill. I tripped; then, laughing, I fell on my face and rolled down the remainder on the slope. Giggling, I laid there for a while, letting the sun tickle my skin and the wind tug at my long, dark brown hair.

I must have fallen asleep, because It was much darker when I awoke. Yawning, I opened my eyes. "Aye!" A yell escaped my mouth as I opened my eyes to a man standing above me looking about the age of twenty. Being a sassy girl like I am, I 'unintentionally' swung my leg out and sent him crashing to the ground before trying to regain composure.

Quickly scrambling to my feet, I stood above him and put my foot on his chest. "What do you think you're doing?" I asked, cocking my head and giving the guy an exasperated smile.

He smiled back, a little too sincerely. "I thought you were dead. So I came to make sure you weren't." He spoke softly with a subtle british accent.

Furrowing my brow, I rolled my eyes. Oh my gosh. Men these days. I thought to myself, giving him a firtive glance then lifting my foot from his chest and starting for my car.

"Wait! I haven't even introduced myself yet!" He yipped from where he was still laying.

I turned around, facing the stranger. Raising my eyebrows, I popped a hip and tapped my foot. "Okay. What's your name? Mine's Bianca. Nice to meet you. Bye." I turned around once more and swiftly walked to my car. I lengthened my strides as I heard the man jumping to his feet.

Swinging the car door open, I slid in and revved the engine. Then, steering carefully onto the road, I drove down the hill.

My eyes shifted to the side mirror. I stole a glance at the guy smiling goofily and waving like a loon. Then, before I was out of earshot, he managed to yell "My name's Louis!!"
