Chapter 2

Luna's POV

I kept running with Caroline and we look back and we finally lost the infected and we both were ok now armed with baseball bats and a chainsaw that Caroline got from the garage when we left.

"We'll we lost them but we lost the others" I said .

"Damn not good" Caroline said

"I know I know but you and I need to stay strong" I told her takingb her hands in mine trying to comfort her in anyway I can.

I felt her hug me tightly and I hesitated to hug her back and she pulled away and she looked at me.

"You okay?" She asked me.

"You know I hate hugs" I said.

"S..sorry forgot" she said with her little voice.

"Okay now let get going freshmen"

"Shut up" she replied back at me and punched my arm.

"Ow you jerk" I say as I hit her back but much harder.

"The heck I didnt you that hard" Caroline said rubbing her arm.

"Let keep going we need to find the others!" I shouted as I ran ahead of her down the street.

"Cheater!" She shouted back as she ran and tried to pass me.

I kept running non-stop due the me being second best in track which was good and I looked back and I seen Caroline right on my tail and I pushed harder and I looked in front of me and I seen a walker and I swung the bat the the walker knee breaking it and hearing the bones crunch and stick out and I swung the bat back and made contact with it head knocking it off and almost hitting caroline but she ducked and the walker's head crashed into the window of a fifties Volkswagen van and I looked at caroline and we looked at each other and we laughed.

"GRAND SLAM!" We both shouted and then we heard growling and snarling and we looked and we seen a group of  walkers and we looked at each other and we both took off running and then all of a sudden I seen two figures run up to caroline and they knocked her out and I ran towards them with my bat and I felt hands pull me back and a cloth on my  my mouth and my eyes grew heavenly and I blacked out.

Vasili's Pov

I shot our way out and covered jack, jade as they carried Seth to safety and I kept firing the rifle and I shot my last round into a guy's gut and I seen blood flow from hit wound and I recognize the guy as our physical education teacher Mr Kenneth Jackson and he was still alive and I run to him and I helped him. I followed the others and Mr Kenneth handed me a gun and I laid down covering fire for us.  I seen a Black Sedan and I yelled at Jack to get to the car and I kept shooting until I ran out of bullets and I threw the hitting a huge muscular guy kids in the face causing him to bleed from hia nose and he looked at me in rage and He ran towrds  us all and I quickly got everyone in the vehicle and I seen the guy getting closer and I found the keys in the visor and I jammed the ke uhh into the ignition and I started the car and I sped off and he jumped on top of the car and I kept speeding but I c poo lent shake him and we ran out of ammunition for our weapons and I suddenly slammed I n the brakes and the guy flew ten feet into the air and landed on the hood of a taxi and laid there not moving and I looked at the others and we looked at each other then back ay the guy and I continued driving until we pulled up to a hospital and we got Seth and Mr Kenneth inside and with jade being a medical expert due to her parents teaching her everything she patch up the two and jack said he wad going for a walk around and I handed him a knife and he walked off.

"Bring us back snacks from the vending machines and drinks" I said ad he walked down the hall

"Got it" he said  waving with the knife in his hand and turning around the corner and out of my sight and I shut the door locking it and sitting back down and I seen jade washing her hands covered in blood and she finished washing and she sat down next to me and she rested her head against my arm and she fell asleep and I kissed her head and I fell asleep to the sweet intoxicating scent of her watermelon scented shampoo.
