I blinked my eyes open slowly, savouring the pleasant feeling of a good night's sleep.
The first thing I became aware of was the bright light streaming through the curtains, despite it being the middle of winter. The second thing I became aware of was the large shape blocking out the light, right in front of me.
"Merry Christmas, my darling," Draco said, from his position directly on top of me, an arm either side of my head, legs either side of mine. He grinned adorably down at me, shirtless, and with his white blonde hair falling in his silver eyes - not a bad sight to wake up to I must admit.
I laughed. "Merry Christmas Draco." He lifted one hand up to cup my cheek and brought his lips to mine. Even after all these years, fireworks exploded inside of me at his touch, making me melt back into the bed. He dragged his tongue along my bottom lip, biting it gently, deepening the kiss. It was bliss. Pure bliss. It always was.
I traced my hand down his bare chest, feeling the taut muscles, scars and divots that I knew so well. I brought my other hand up to tangle in his hair, slightly pulling on the strands, making Draco shiver.
He broke the kiss to ghost the column of my throat with his lips, moving his hand so his fingers teased the bottom of the black silk nightdress I was wearing. He slipped his fingers under, onto my upper thigh, making me gasp at the contact.
But before he could go any higher, I grinned mischievously, caught his fingers, brought them to my mouth and kissed each one. "Later," I said, "We have a Christmas dinner to get to."
He sighed and pouted, but rolled off me, landing on his side, facing me. He laid his head on my chest and placed a hand on my stomach, now, at just around 14 weeks, a slightly more prominent bump. "Merlin, you're beautiful Ada, so bloody beautiful," he murmured. I practically melted at the look of awe on his face - the same look he got whenever he touched my bump - which he did whenever he could.
He reigned himself in and asked, "How are you feeling today, love?"
"I actually feel great - I had a really good night's sleep - for once - and I'm looking forward to today."
"I'm glad - I hate seeing you ill and in pain."
"I know, love." I paused, "I hate to say this, but we should probably get up." With that, he groaned, but placed a kiss on my forehead and rolled out of the bed, getting my dressing gown ready for me, as he always did. I smiled my thanks, and he extended a hand to help me up, pulling me close and giving me a final kiss before we walked downstairs.

Christmas was my favourite time of the year, but it was also the hardest. I thought about Dad constantly, and how much I ached for him to be with us, particularly now.
On my darker days, even after eleven years, I sobbed for him as Draco held me tightly and rubbed my back. On these days, I didn't leave the house much.
But today was a good day, as most days were now. Things were starting to look up, and I was determined that this year would be the perfect Christmas. I was excited and nervous, as, at the Weasley's Christmas dinner later on, we were going to announce my pregnancy to the whole family.
Firstly, though, we wanted to give our gifts to each other, currently waiting neatly wrapped under our Christmas tree in the living room.
I waltzed into the cozy room and plopped down on our comfy black sofa, in front of our fireplace and television (I had grown up with one, due to my one-foot in the Wizarding World and one-foot in the Muggle world childhood, but Draco had had to be persuaded into getting one), with the sparkling Christmas tree in the left corner of the room.
