"Marinette? Is it possible after the surprise that we can bring you to my house? I want Luka to perform a very special happy birthday to you", I acted, but was happy either way if it was true or not.

"Sure, its not like we have any other surprise other than the thing beside the Eiffel tower", Alya and the girls agreed, the decision was all down to Marinette.

"Okay", she happily said, blushing while she's at it too, interesting,

"Thanks, I'll call him right now so he can prepare", I dialed by brother.

"Thanks, see you soon", I hanged up the phone call, Luka is willing to do anything to play for Marinette, even better.

"Were here at the Eiffel tower and-", Alya surprised the birthday girl with Andre the ice cream man. We are treating her with Paris' most favourite ice cream. But that didn't bring a smile to her face, the ice cream, as it is to represent people's soulmate, reminded her of her mark.

" Juju, will this plan of yours cheer up Mari by any chance?", Rosa asked.

"Hopefully it will", I replied.

Mari's p.o.v.;

"What is wrong Marinette? You don't feel like ice cream today?", Andre asked me.

"Well, its just that, you said if we eat your ice cream you will end up with your soulmate right?", I asked him.

"Yeah, of course, it is the magic of the flavour that brings the soulmates together", he rhymed.

"Well, you see, I'm 17 now, when you turn 17 your supposed to get your mark of your soulmates initials on your wrist, but I never got mine, does that mean that I don't have a soulmate?", I asked him, almost in tears.

"Marinette, Marinette, everyone has a soulmate, even the most hated, and we all have different love stories, you're just going to have to accept that and wait for the right time, I can tell you're going to have a unique love story from all the others", he smiled and handed me the same ice cream he always gives me, peach for his lips or something and mint for his eyes.

"Yeah, but how do you know that for sure?", my curiosity expanded.

"Well, because I may now a guy who also doesn't have their mark", he winked.

"what do you me-", I was cutted off by Alya.

"Andre, I know you're just trying to make her better, but its not helping, thanks for the ice cream though", she pushed me aside as we walked in the direction of Juleka's boathouse.

"Alya, why did you have to do that, I could have known if my soulmate was really Adrien or not, no one knows who his mark is and he's 18 now, not even his dad knows", I stopped her from pushing me.

"Well, are you just going to believe the nonsense he says, the ice cream isn't actually magic, its just ice cream", Alya said furious.

"Why are you getting so worked up, he was just trying to cheer me up", I demanded.

"Because its just like you're mark, you don't have a soulmate, you know the marks are never wrong", she shouted, but then realised what she said.

"you don't believe that I have a soulmate anymore?", I said, but before she could say anything else, I ran towards the boat house. My friends are with me behind my back, all except for Alya.

Alya's p.o.v.'

I never meant to say it out loud like that, especially to her.

I had always believed in the soulmate marks, it brought so many people together and knowing when my mark I got was Nino, I couldn't be any more happier. But now looking at it...

Marinette is a great girl who has neve given up on her crush, no matter if he's dating or not. But there was always a thought in me which I tried to ignore at first but it just came back to me today. What if Mari was never meant to end up with Adrien?

I know I'm a bad friend for thinking this but, seeing how oblivious he really is and how obsessive Mari can get when it comes to him hurts me. Plus, I accidentally found out one time but, Adrien has a massive crush on Ladybug. What is Ladybug was Marinette and he suddenly found out. Won't you think how toxic that relationship would be? He would only be with Mari because she's Ladybug while Mari would be blindly in love. Its not like she's ladybug, but just saying, Adrien only finds her as a friend and nothing more. Maybe it was just meant to be?

And when Andre started to talk about the whole soulmate  thing, it just reminds about all about that and knowing that I don't want my friend to be hurt when the truth comes out that she doesn't have a soulmate. I'm also not sure about Adrien's mark, he's 18 now but he has never spoken about his mark to anyone. But I'm sure its for his personal reasons.

Adrien's p.o.v.;

Its Mari's birthday and I can't bring myself to talk to her, mainly because father won't let me go but its I was messaging Alix earlier and asked what mark Mari got.

She said that she didn't got her mark, just like me...
