𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲 : If Only.
Roughly a week into the summer break, and also into (name)'s new relationship with Tetsuro. He was happy, both of them were. The new couple was on a date in a hot sunny day. Supposedly, they go to a ice cream shop and chill there, but nope, the shop was temporarily closed.
The two were just sitting in a park now, fanning themselves with their hands while laughing at each other's joke. They were mad at how the shop was closed, yeah, but it only lasted for a few minutes. The moments they shared currently was worth it.
As they were talking, (name) caught a glimpse of a familiar figure. It was Bokuto, and unlike before, he was smiling happily with the first year by his side. The two seemed happy, very happy that it made (name) smiled. He looked down on his phone, the lockscreen was still the same picture of him and Bokuto.
Tetsuro knew of this, he was jealous at first, whining and bitching so (name) would change the picture. But as (name) explained the weird thing happened to them, Tetsuro tried to accept the reality that the lockscreen will stay that way for a while.
"I'm glad you found someone that could make you happy again, Bokuto-san."
"You weren't listening and now you're whispering weird things. Are you okay?" Tetsuro asked with a pout as he looked at his boyfriend who wasn't paying much attention to him.
(name) chuckled and nodded his head, "I'm just happy." He answered, seeing how Tetsuro's lips tugged into a small smile.
In the distance, the couple (name) observed earlier was resting on a bench, too. Bokuto coincidentally saw the two and smiled sadly. Moving on wasn't easy, he needed more time than just a week of summer break. He felt like he was in sorrow everytime he saw (name), especially if he was with Tetsuro.
"Bokuto-san," A gentle voice brought Bokuto back to reality. He turned to meet a pair of gunmetal blue eyes looking at him in concern. Akaashi's very presence helped him when he felt down like this. He gave a bright smile to the younger, he turned back to where (name) was.
You were special to me, (first name).
Bokuto turned to Akaashi, standing up. "Let's go now, I don't wanna miss the movie!"
I won't ever forget you and our memories, but..
Akaashi sighed and stood up, "Alright, let's go now." He said, giving a soft smile he often wears around Bokuto.
Right now, I have someone to make new memories with. Just like you, I have to move on.
Being forgotten is something painful, being rejected is something painful. Having to see your loved one slowly falls out of love is painful, having to see them kiss someone else is enough for you to wish you'd never meet them. The saying there's a rainbow after every storm was true, because after the hurtful days, comes happiness in the form of someone else.
If only (name) hadn't said his wish that day, he would probably be mad at Bokuto and ended the relationship with bad terms. If only Bokuto didn't fall for Akaashi, Tetsuro wouldn't find his happiness that quickly.
If only.
