"Well kwazii, I was hoping you were up for a trip to Antarctica, I received a call for help from the Gup-I, you remember my Professor
, right?"

Barnicals said, stopping as they reached the launch bay. Kwazii's eyes sparkled, and his face lit up,

"Aye! Despite how much complaining I do about the cold, I prefer it these days. And Aye , Captain. I remember the ol' man."

Kwazii said, laughing a bit. He jumped into the Gup-S,

"When do we leave, cap't?

Kwazii asked excitedly. The captain laughed, he smiled and climbed in next to Kwazii,

"Is now soon enough?"

Kwazii smiled, he nodded but stopped when he realized something

"Are we the only ones going? Isn't Peso coming along?"

The captain looked at him, and shook his head.

"Well, no. Peso is caught up will his medical duties. I did ask him if he'd like to join but he declined. I think we're on our own for this one, Kwaz."

He said, looking at Kwazii. The Male Cat only nodded, he took the other wheel to co-pilot if it was necessary.

"Aye matey."

And with that, they were off! Starting what would be a long trip, and they only had each other to keep company, of course they both preferred it that way, lately they didn't get so much time together and it was making them both feel distant and stressed.

Peso, being able to read people with ease, he knew that Kwazii had a thing for the captain, and He realized that the captain was starting to catch something for Kwazii. So when Barnacles talked to him about it, he saw what was happening and decided to help Mr. Inkling with some medical research. Peso was happy that they got to spend some time together finally, And was hoping they'd make the most of the trip!

Time for a time skip!

Kwazii and Barnacles had stopped for the night, they both were taking turns driving while the other slept but it was taking too much out of them. So they both agreed it was time to just take a break.

"Hey, Kwazii, are you awake?"

The captain said in the darkness. He heard a mumble and heard Kwazii turn over.

"Aye, I'm awake. Did ya need somethin' mate?"

Kwazii said with a somewhat tired voice. He didn't mind talking to the captain though.

"Ah, it's nothing, I just can't sleep. Anyway sorry to bother you, go ahead and get some sleep, okay?"

The captain said, closing his eyes and trying to sleep as well,

"Aw, nah don't worry about it. Anyway what's on yer mind mate? Somethin' botherin' ya?"

Kwazii said, flipping on the dim lamp in the Gup. The captain smiled at him and sat up partially,

"Well.. yeah, but I don't really wanna talk about it, if that makes sense.."

The captain said, looking away a bit. Kwazii chuckled,

"Aye. Don't worry 'bout it, been there a few times myself, heh. Anyway, if ya can't sleep we can just talk until you're tired."

He said, smiling at the pale skinned bear across from him. Barnacles smiled again, looking back to him, He sat up properly and Kwazii did the same. The captain started sketching something,

"Honestly I kind of wanna hear one of your stories."

The captain said, to which Kwazii was surprised,

"Oho, ya do, do ye? Well, 'Tis a strange tale, that happened in this very ocean, Long ago, there lived a siren..."

Kwazii's story lasted for about an hour, and Barnacles was laughing along with every joke and sea-chanty in the story, he was enjoying himself a lot actually. Kwazii had gotten into it, and Was re-enacting the story, making it as dramatic as possible. He purposely made it dramatic so the captain would laugh and loosen up a bit.

"And there I was, Face to face with a mighty beastie! She slapped my face, back and forth and back and forth! Until I drew me sword and I sliced her snake like arms! She was enraged...."

The story continued until finally,

"And there she lay, motionless. And all I could do was watch as she sank back into the darkness of the depths.."

Kwazii finished, waving his hand around in a dramatic manner.

The captain smiled and set his sketchbook down, to which kwazii snatched,

"My word! I didn't know you could draw, Hell, I can't even make a straight line with a pencil."

The captain laughed,

"Yeah, take a look at some others if you want, I don't mind."

He said, Kwazii looked at him,

"Aren't artists usually defensive of their work?"

He asked, tilting his head.

"Well.. yes, in some cases. But I trust you, and I know you wouldn't judge me."

He said. Kwazii blinked and his cheeks colored,

"Aye. Well thanks for your trust mate!"

He said. And the captain smiled, rubbing the back of his head in a nervous manner.
