Offline Ch. 03

Kwazii smiled, he admired the captains trust, and even thought it made him feel selfish, he hoped that he was the only one the captain trusted like that. He knew that he wasn't the only one though, after all, Peso would be the future captain after barnacles left. Kwazii did envy Peso for that, but he held his tongue out of respect for the little penguin, The captain made a good choice to put Peso in as the next leader, and Kwazii knew that.

"So um.." the captain broke the silence, He wanted to talk about something.. else. "Kwazii- pardon me for asking but um- what's your relationship with Tweak?" He asked, fidgeting nervously.

Kwazii raised an eyebrow, "Well she's a good friend and a great inventor. I think she's great at her job." He said, surprisingly he didn't use any pirate slang. But by looking at the captain, it looked like that's not what he wanted to hear, so he backtracked, hoping to save his words. "But- but if you mean like 'like' her, then no- I think of her as a sister if I'm honest heh."

The captain raised an eyebrow, "I don't disapprove if you do 'like' her, you know." He lied, and covered his insecurity with a smile that looked real enough. But He wanted Kwazii to feel safe about telling him things like this nonetheless.

Kwazii laughed, "No no, I mean she's great and all but I think I like someone else." He admitted without realizing, he blinked and bit his lower lip. he couldn't take it back. He just laughed it off and laid back down on his bed, resting his hands behind his head and closing his eyes. It felt pretty good to get that off his chest.

The captain laughed along with him, he was a bit relieved honestly. "So who's the lucky person? Is it Dashi?" He teased, smiling at kwazii.

Kwazii's eyes flew open, "Dashi!? No no- her and shellington are- well whatever they are- I dunno. I don't have an interest in her though." He said, "what about you? You like anyone?" He asked, feeling like a middle school girl as he contemplated what just came out of his mouth.

Barnacles blinked, "uh well- there's this one person-" he started, but stopped, "yeah uh, nevermind hah" he backed out a bit.

"No no no, you gotta spill it, you said it already Barni, you've gotta go through with it." He said, turning onto his stomach and smiling playfully at the captain, and resting his head in his hands.

"I- well uh" the captain began, he almost forgot what he was saying, because of the nickname Kwazii had just used. His cheeks colored, "well you actually know them pretty well." He said, looking away, "They have really pretty green eyes and they are always positive." He said, letting loose a bit, "They have such an amazing heart and they're always energetic and up-beat. They never cease to make me smile and-" he looked back at Kwazii to see that his eyes were wide and his cheeks flushed, Barnacles mentality panicked, "uh- well yeah- so how about you??" He tried to change the subject.

Kwazii just stared at the captain, his eyes sparkled and his heart began to beat a bit faster. But then he stopped himself, Tweak has green eyes, and she's energetic and up-beat, it could be her, and the captain asked what his relationship was with her just a few minutes ago. he didn't think the captain was into boys. His expression kind of melted in disappointment. He heard the captain speak and looked up at him.

"Kwaz- um.. I hope that doesn't change your opinion on me.. cause I've kind of confessed in a way.. ahah" he hated himself at that moment. "Can we still do missions together and- and still be best mates?" He asked.

Kwazii blinked, "of course! Just 'cause you have an interest in one of our mates, it doesn't mean I'd think of you differently, Tweak is a really great girl and-" he began but was cut off

"Tweak? No Kwazii," He smiled and chuckled, "I'm talking about you." He said finally, enjoying the reaction he got from kwazii at that moment.

"YOu- whA- m e? M E? Why me I'm annoying and- frankly quite loud-" Kwazii said

Barnacles laughed and reached over to pull Kwazii up, "So then, who is it that you like?" He asked, kind of already knowing a bit. He smiled and pulled Kwaziis chin up to look at him.

Kwazii didn't have words at that moment, and instead just blinked at him in lil pirate kitty shock. "Well- well I um, I like-" he began but shook his head and sighed, "oH nevermind." He pulled on the captains collar until the captain was bent down enough for Kwazii to reach, and he kissed him.
