Chapter 1: love

I've been wanting to start this book forever LMAO. I've had this idea for quite a while now. I'm really looking forward to writing this and I have some good ideas for this story. Without further a due, enjoy! :)

Law's POV:

Love. It's such a childish thing really. It's a waste of time and a distraction as I like to call it. Or so I thought. My point of view in this subject completely changed one day, the day I met the person who would change my life. Monkey d Luffy, a senior with a reputation for causing trouble for teachers around campus, often spotted in detention after school along with his so called "crew" as they like to say. The complete opposite of me, just an average guy with decent grades, looking to go to college. No trouble, no drama, and definitely no love. I was sitting at a cafe, with some friends that I've known since middle school. Sachi, penguin, bepo. Great people, kinda crazy but overall very good cooperative people. "Jeez you need to let loose, have a little fun and get your nose out of that dumb book." Penguin-ya commented and I rolled my eyes. "It's called studying. It's not so bad." He sighed and took a sip of his coffee. "You really need to start going to after school events or some shit..your the definition of a modern Disney Chanel nerd you know that?" Sachi-ya commented. "If it bothers you guys so much go have fun I don't care." I said flipping a page. "Six of crows" as the book title read. Bepo didn't dare comment, he's the quietest and the most distant. My best friend since middle school and a great pillow. He has chubby pale skin and big eyes, white ruffled hair and other 'cute' features as they like to say, however his height is what throws most off. He's one of the tallest people in the whole school. Some say he reminds them of a polar bear. "Whatever, but you've gotta see this, straw hat or whatever he's called made another math teacher quit." Sachi-ya said in amusement pulling up something on his computer.

Luffy's POV:

"OWWW" I squealed as another punch made its way to my aching head. "I said I'm sorry!!" My older brother ignored my pleads and kept practically beating me to death. "Maybe if you'd stop making people quit they're jobs this wouldn't be a problem!!" He yelled smacking me once more. "Jeez give him a break sabo, it was smoker after all, no one liked him." My other brother remarked with a small smirk pulling out a chocolate bar, unraveling the red foil that covered the treat. "It would be different if he didn't do this to 17 other teachers in the school!" Sabo yelled. He wasn't hitting me anymore, just yelling. I sighed and rubbed my now stinging head. "Your such a pain sometimes Luffy..if you do this again Gramps might have to come down here. And we all know how that usually turns out." I shivered at the thought. Let's just say my grandfather is rather ruthless when it comes to punishment. Suddenly a ringing phone started going off, "be right back, koala's calling." Sabo said switching moods suddenly and chirping in a cheeky voice. "Just date her already.." I heard ace mutter from across the room. "I heard that!" Sabo yelled as he went upstairs to pick up his phone. Koala was a freind of sabo's, however they're fairly close. Thus ace has his suspicions of them being ya know, in love or whatever. Love. It's interesting. I wonder what it's like to be in love, I don't think it's ever happened to me before but when it does I wonder how I'll know. Most people say you get butterflies in your tummy when it happens, and your face turns red as your heart starts to thump really fast. Or others say you could not know till way way later. Which is really odd. I've had someone tell me they love me before, but i didn't really feel the same. She was a girl in my school, Hancock I think was her name. She was a awesome friend, but ace told me that sometimes you just don't feel the lovey dovey vibes around someone and you'd prefer to stay friends. Which really confuses me. Because after all that she didn't wanna talk to me again. Love isnt something I worry about to much. But boy oh boy does it sound interesting! I giggled to myself as I slumped against the couch. "Watcha laughin bout lu?" Ace asked. I smiled to myself. "Nothing.." I practically sank into the couchins, enjoying the material. "Well you better get that homework done before sabo's done with the call. I doubt he'll go easy on you if he finds out it's not done."

Law's POV:

I swung open the creaky door to my house, revealing the home I've longed to return to. "Law is that you?" Cora-San. My adoptive father and best friend as I like to say. Very kind yet clumsy and brainless man. "Yep." I said dropping my backpack. "Have a seat, dinner's almost d— AAAAAHHH" what the hell? The sudden shriek caught my attention and I ran into the kitchen. "What's wrong?!" I looked over to my adoptive father who was on the other side of the fucking kitchen, holding on the wall for his dear life. and on the very other side, across from the stove sat a fairly big spider. I sighed and grabbed a news paper from across the room along with a glass cup, scooping up the insect. I guided it outside with the quick slam of a door. I heard Cora-San sigh in relief as if he just survived some sort of nuclear attack or something. I took a seat at the table; "food's burning." I spoke and pulled out my phone. "AAAA YOUR RIGHT." He panicked and ran over to the stove. Checking on whatever he was cooking. As he continued I scrolled through Instagram, what? It's an interesting source ok? My page is mostly just memes. Nothing more. I scrolled when a specific photo caught my eye, it was the same straw hat dude everyone kept talking about at school. The photo showed him and what I assumed to be his friends or "crew" gathering around a coffee table, a variety of board games such as "monopoly" and "uno" displayed across the table. Everyone was wearing smiles and different poses as straw hat held the camera. I ran my eyes across the caption. 'Board game night as Nami's place!' Nami..the girl known for robbing money from backpackes. She used to be one of the lunch money bullies in middle school, I was lucky enough to not get picked on by her. I left a like and quickly put away my phone as my dinner was served to me. Cora-San sat down beside me. "You look rather distracted today law, everything alright?" I nodded slowly and took a sip of water. Straw hat..what an interesting boy.
