Chapter 7: Love..

We decided to have a food taste on the next day. Ang dami niyang naiisip na ipatikim sakin kaya lalo akong nae-excite.

"Empanada here is so good too. Iyon ang una nating titikman." Aniya habang naglalakad kami papuntang elevator nang makalabas na kami ng hotel.

Tumango ako saka ngumiti. "Mommy said na masarap din daw ang mga street foods?"

Tumango siya. "Isaw is the best."

"Ano naman 'yon?"

"Stomach of a chicken."

I stilled. "I-It's called Isaw?" Hindi ko makapaniwalang tanong.

Natawa siya ng malakas saka sabay kaming pumasok sa elevator. "Still wanna try it?"

Tuloy.. parangnagdalawang isip ako. It's like exotic food, but not really.

"W-Wala nabang iba?"

"Meron naman. There's this.. head of a chicken, skin of a pig, barbeque, feet of a chicken, and etc."

I swallowed hard. I feel like vomitting.

"You okay, baby?" Tanong niya.

Tumango ako saka tumingin sa kaniya. "Please tell me that Empanada is not that.. kind of exotic food."

Umiling siya. "It's vegies.. with egg, so perfect to combined with ketchap. Masarap iyon."

"'Yon na muna siguro."

Natawa siya saka lumapit sakin. He kiss me on lips pero kumalas din. "You're cute. Street foods is so tasty too, but you are more delicious."

Umirap ako saka humarap sa elevator. I sigh heavily while remembering the time when Clark and I wants to eat some foods too in other part of Cali.

"What's going on the pretty little head of yours?" Rinig kong sabi ni Iel.

Napatingin ako sa kaniya saka umiling. Oo nga pala, I'm not required to think anything when I'm with him, especially Clark.

"Are you.. thinking about your boyfriend?" He whispered.

Hindi ako umimik. Guilty is slowly eating my system again.

Paanong.. ganito kasi? Bigla-bigla nalang ay naiisip ko si Clark.

I let out a sigh. "S-Sorry-"

"Don't. Please don't regret being with me.."

I look at him, nangiligid ang luha ko sa pagmamakaawa niya. I caress his face and he closed his eyes to feel it.

"Y-You don't deserve this.. you don't deserve me-"

"Ava.."

Nalaglag ang luha ko. He immediately remove it and hug me lightly. "Kahit kailan.. handa naman akong maghintay. Please, let me."

I closed my eyes and hug him back. I'm cheating.. with Clark. But I don't regret being with Iel.

"Put ketchap." Ani Iel ng nakangiti habang nilalagyan ng red sauce ang bagay na tinatawag niyang 'empanada'.

Tumango ako. It's a little bit hot but I'm salivating because of it's look.

"Paoay is the best place to eat Empanada here in Ilocos Norte." Paliwanag niya na ikinatango ko naman.

"Hindi paba pwedeng kainin?" Tanong ko na ikinahalakhak naman niya.
