Still with you

Andy woke up to an empty bed again. She carefully got out of bed and made her way downstairs. She looked around the living room trying to find her husband but he wasn't there.

She went to the kitchen and she found a note on the counter top. She opened it and started to read it.

"Hey babe I had to go into work early since I'm taking half the day off. I made you something to eat and left it in the fridge. See you soon. Love Robert."

She opened the fridge and took out the container that said 'eat me'. It brought a smile to her face. After eating she decided to do a little cleaning until Robert got home.

She started in their room and slowly made her way to the nursery. She was in there for a while when she heard the door open.

" I'm home." Robert yelled from downstairs.

"Coming" she yelled back.

She finished folding the clothes she had out before heading downstairs.

"Hi there."

" Hey.. what are you up to?" he asked

" Well I just finished folding the baby's clothes.. Again." She had been doing that a lot recently but it's mainly because she wants everything to be perfect for when the baby comes.

" You're nesting." he said smiling.

" Well anyways I was thinking we could just go upstairs and cuddle..... What do you say?" she was now hugging him and looking at him with her best puppy eyes.

" Sure but only for a few minutes...I have a surprise for you and we got to get ready soon." he said kissing her forehead.

They went upstairs to their room and stayed there for a couple minutes. Andy had fallen asleep so Robert carefully slipped out of bed making sure to not wake her up. He went downstairs so she wouldn't hear him and made a call.

" Hey" Robert said

" Hey when do u want us to come over?" Vic said

" Well she's sleeping so now would be fine." He replied.

"Ok we'll be there in five." Vic replied.

He hung up and went back upstairs. Andy was still sleeping so he decided to go take a quick shower. After he came out he slipped on some sweatpants and a t-shirt.

Just as he was done there was a knock at the door. He walked downstairs and opened the door revealing the whole team.

" We bring treats." Vic said holding up the bags she had

" Hey guys come on in." He said

"Where is she?" Maya asked

" She's still sleeping but she'll wake up soon. I'll try my best to keep her up there until you guys finish." he said before heading making his way up the stairs.

They nodded their heads while they started to unpack the things from the bags. Robert climbed back into bed placing his hand around Andy and pulling her closer. Downstairs the team was decorating the living room trying their best to be quiet.

Andy woke up and turned to face her husband who was wide awake. She looked at him smiling before she said anything.

"How long was it out for?" she asked

" A little over two hours." he said

She jumped up from her position and playfully hit his arm.

" I thought you said we had to get ready soon." She was trying to escape his grasp but he wouldn't let her.

"Yea well plans changed. Stay a little longer and then you can go shower.... Yea?"

"Okay" she said, getting comfortable again.

Downstairs the team continued to decorate the room with grey and white. They added some things here and there as they continued. When they arrived Ben and Travis put the meals in the fridge before they started anything.

Balloons were placed around the room along with bowls of candy both pink and blue. There was a big white board that was placed at the entrance for people to put their guesses of the baby's gender.

They finally finished everything so Vic texted Robert that they could come down when they were ready. Thankfully Andy was almost done putting on her slippers.

He told her they were going to a secluded place seeing as they were in a world wide pandemic but in reality they were just having a small baby shower with the team, close friends who were safe to enter the house and whoever joined the zoom they had made.

She walked down the stairs followed by Robert. When she reached the bottom of the stairs she lifted her attention from the floor to the living room and saw that it was decorated and her family stood in the center of it all.

" Welcome to your baby shower." Robert said standing behind her

" You guys managed to do all of this," she said pointing around the room. "Without me finding out..... How?" she asked still shocked

" Mostly your husband. He is very helpful by the way." Maya said which made everyone smile.

" More people will be arriving soon." jack said

" Don't forget the people on the zoom too." dean added the remaining Travis that he should probably start the meeting so people could join.

The party was going smoothly and it was now time for the present.... There was a lot. She took the one closest to her and opened it revealing a Teddy bear. She looked at it in awe knowing it would come in handy.

" That's from me." Dean said. He had a kid so he was kind of an expert... or so he claims.

She took another present this time taking out a onesie set. She took out each piece analyzing it and imagining it on her baby. She handed it to Robert before taking up a wrapped box.

" That's from me and carina." she heard Maya say excitedly.

It was a cradling swing. Andy's eyes lit up. She was happy someone bought it because the thought completely slipped her mind.

" I wanted to get something else but carina insisted that we-" she was cut off by Andy.

"Thank you guys. It's perfect." she said looking at the couple then at everyone else. " I mean it.... Thank you guys so much."

The night ended on a good note. Everyone left exhausted but happier than when they arrived if that was even possible. Andy and Robert didn't have to clean up everything because the team insisted that they should relax. So instead of doing that they headed upstairs and took a shower before climbing into bed.

" I had fun today.... Even though it was very unexpected." she said laughing which made him laugh too.

"Sorta like you"

They were staring into each other's eyes again. It took a while before anyone said actual words.

" I love you... i hope you know that." Robert said, now placing one of his hands on her cheek.

" I do and I love you too. Now let's go to bed.... So much to get done tomorrow."

" And by that you mean folding all the babies clothes again." He said laughing

She shook her head before kissing him and then turned on her side.

" Goodnight my love." She said

" Goodnight" he replied
