Once everyone has taken a shower, and is dressed. I take the rope from Kisa and tie it around her waist once more. “Keep Butch, he’ll help you stay up with your brothes and turn you guys away from danger or tell you where it’s at.” I get to my feet once more, re situating my duffle higher on my pack. I hand Brent another back pack.” This is for Butch. It’s food and extra water, with more rations. Butch can carry it when you lighten it a bit.”

“Okay? Why does this sound like, “Bye take my dog so you bozo’s don’t die. Oh but don’t expect to see me again.”” He says trying to mimic my voice. I just laugh.

“Cause it kind of is. Butch knows comands, his ‘manual’ you could say is in the bag as well. Learn his signals and he becomes stronger and faster to respond to you. Whistle and he’ll stop everything. Snap your fingers, and he’ll track you or whoever snaps down. Finger to lips, he is alert and will signal with his ears which side is safe by erecting the ear, if you’re surrounded he’ll sprint away and come back when he has lost them and show you a safer route.” I pat his head, and hand Loke a map. “Keep to the open road, it’s a busy city. More open space the better chance you have. If you find an open road take it East. Butch will know where to go once you hit the checkpoint. He’ll growl then howl, but only once. Then he will face the direction you need to head from there. Pretty simple. So don’t fuck it up.” I grin and bop the boys on the head. I took my mothers necklace off and put it on Kisa. “Don’t lose this okay? It’s important, so protect it okay?” I smile as she nods holding it tightly. I rub her head, and head out. That was the last I saw of any of them.
