It's been a while, we're now 10th graders. I can confirm to you that I seem to really like Scar. I know, it may seem quick and sudden, but we've been getting to know each other for 6 months. I wish I could've talked to her over the summer, but I wasn't allowed social media until now.
It's the first day of 10th grade. I haven't seen Scar at all over the 3 months that passed, we haven't talked once! I'm not sure if she likes me since she's really good at hiding her feelings, but who says I'm not either!
I walk into the school that I've stayed in for 9 months, once again. Looking at all the new people, I walk to my locker to grab a book I put there, during open house.
"Trey!" I turn around and see one of my friends wave to me. We live around the same area so we've started hanging out more.
"Wassup loser" don't get me wrong, I'm mean to everyone. Being straightforward and showing my affection is a bit, much for me. Even the word, "affection," is a bit much.
"We got into theater, I'm excited" Roy says as we walk down the hall to our classes. Roy, Scar and a bunch of our other friends auditioned for theater. All I know is, I'm in and so is Scar.
"I auditioned as a joke, haha." It's true, I didn't really think I would get in.
"Typical." He shakes his head.
"Hey, at least I got in!"
Roy starts to respond to me. I stopped paying attention because I saw Scar walking by, talking to one of her friends. She looks at me and we make eye contact but we just walk right past each other.
Over the day, I've came to realize that Scar and I have absolutely no classes together. We don't even have the same lunch together again! Is fate against us? The only time we'll be able to see each other is during theater.
"Welcome to theater you guys! It won't start yet, so feel free to have some snacks and talk to each other before we get started," a lady says as she roams about.
I see Scar sitting next to one of her friends and an empty chair next to them. Scar's drinking a juice box while her friend Riley, is munching on her gold fish. I walk over to them and sit next to them excitedly. They always tell me that I'm hyper but also dead on the inside. Not quite sure what that means. All I know is, I was excited.
"Hi Trey" Riley says kindly. Scar waves at me, still drinking her juice box and goes back on her phone.
Theater goes well and I go home. Since I'm now getting quite close to Roy and his friends, he invites me to a groupchat. I check the app and a call is going on in that groupchat.
"Hiya" I say when I join, I hear a familiar female voice talking in the background and look. Scar is in the call too.
