BELLE'S P.O.V.

I tuck my feet under me and open the old volume. The pages are filled with words, no pictures needed. The author paints the pictures with his words.

This one is one of my favorites. Well, not my top, but close. The girl is living with her father on their farm when she discovers she needs money. She opens her own bakery to earn it and falls in love with her assistant. It's old, but I've always liked old books.

"Cmere, Beastie." I say, as my little dog hops up next to me and settles down on my lap. He's named after Beast from Beauty In The Beast. It was always my favorite movie when I was little.

And Beastie, well, he kinda fits the description of beast. He's not the best looking pup on the block. He's got scrappy, scruffy long fur dogged with brown and black. His tiny paws have sharp nails and he has huge eyes and a wet nose. Also, a short little hairy tale. He's so ugly it's cute, I really don't know how to explain it.

When I flipped to the next page of my book, there was a picture.

"What? Thats new." I say, peering at the illustration. It was a girl sitting at a fountain in a busy old town, reading a book. People flock around her, and it looks like they're singing. I take a closer look at the girl and gasp. She's me.

"OH MY ...... DAD COME HERE!" I yell, dropping the book on the bed and backing away. Beastie is eyeing me, as if to say 'why is this idiot screaming?'

"Belle, what is it dear??" He asks, flying in. I point to the open book on the bed, and my brows furrow. The picture is gone.

"Belle?" My dad asks, confused. I shake my head. "It's fine.... I just saw a spider. It's .... ummmm..... gone now."

As my father left the room, I glanced around. The books were scattered about the floor, my disney posters were still on the wall, my iPhone still displayed Beastie as my screen saver. Everything else was routine.

Except for the one book on my bed, a picture now emblazoned on it again.

YOU ARE BELLE. GO DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE.

"What the hell?" I say, picking up the book. Only, the picture was different now. It was Belle and Beast.

"You are Belle?" I repeat, turning the book over. The words flip with it. YOU ARE BELLE. BELLE. BELLE.

Then, the page flips. Me. In the outfit I'm wearing. In the room I'm in. Only, a huge, gaping hole is in the middle of my floor, and I'm peering into it.

The page flips again. I'm falling down a hole with books floating around me.

I start to shake as I turn around. A gaping hole is in the middle of my floor.

"AHHHHH!" I scream, backing up against the wall while Beastie barks maddingly.

Beastie slowly walks up to the hole, sniffing around it

"NO! Beastie, back!" I hiss, leaning off the wall.

With a yelp, Beastie plummets into the hole.

"NO!" I scream, lurching forwards. I cautiously peer into the hole. I can't see the bottom. Furniture is pushed against the wall. Only a bunch of bookshelves. A small dot that is Beastie is rapidly plummeting away.

I feel my foot slide against the strange book on the floor, and I'm falling. I grab for something, only catching empty air and clutching the book in my hand.

I scream as my arms flail. I'm falling fast, and the bookshelves look like a tie dye sheet hovering around me.

Minutes go by, and I'm still terrified How long am I going to fall?

My body crashes against a hard surface, and I look up. Beastie is sitting down, waiting for me. I put down the book and wrap him in my arms. Now I just need to know where I am.
