After Dark

Chapter Six "Obsession"

          Sobbing. Ragged breathing. That's what could be heard from the semi-empty room, the creepy man from before had left it by now. The male cat sniffled as he was wrapped up in the blanket, he was curled up and trying to calm down a bit. After about twenty minutes of resting, he got up and was still wrapped up in the blanket. He heads over to the door and twists the knob a bit. He widened his eyes as he felt that the door was unlocked, which never happens. After thinking for a few seconds he slowly, and quietly exits the room before looking down both ends of the empty hall. He brings the blanket around him closer as he starts quickly, but quietly walking down one way of the hall. As he heads down the dirty, and semi-dark hall he could hear the small quiet drips of water leaking into the underground building. He tried to stay quiet and continued his quick walk. The halls were like a maze, it was also creepy and cold.

          As the cat beastman walks around, trying to find a way out he could hear footsteps echoing down the halls; however, they weren't his footsteps. He starts to quicken his pace and frantically runs down the halls. The footsteps got louder and quicker. He eventually finds a bar door you would find on a cage, but it was separating two halls. He fumbles with the lock, trying to get it open but soon realizes the footsteps stopped. He turns around to see the creepy man from before smirking at him, "ah, there you are little kitty. You shouldn't have run off, now you need your punishment.." his voice got a little deeper as he said the last few words, his other personality taking control. The cat shakes in fear and continues to fumble with the lock. The male cat realized because of how malnourished he was that he might be able to slip through one of the holes in the bar door, and he was successfully able to but got a cut on his arm in the process.

          He continues to run down the other side of the hall again, and the older male's grunt of anger could be heard as he runs faster. The older male chased the cat as they both ran down the hall, both their footsteps echoing. The male cat was starting to panic, and his breathing wasn't even so it was getting harder to run. He lets out a short small shriek as he trips, and falls on the cold, dirty floor. The older male stood over him a bit with a dark expression and reached to him. "You've messed up this time, you shouldn't have a runoff." The cat hits the older male's hand away and sees that the cat caused a scratch to form on their hand. The beastman quickly crawled away from them, trying to get away but let out a scream and whimper as the older male grabbed their hair and cat ears. The older male looked at him with a dark angry expression and held their jaw with a firm grip. The cat whimpered in pain as he shook in fear, "I-I'm sorry..please don't hurt me" he started to cry as the older male made a 'tch' sound, and started dragging him back to the room he was in before. "Too late for that, you shouldn't have stayed here this long and should of went back to the room"

          As they both went back to the room, the cat was chucked onto the floor as the older male closed the door behind them but locked it this time. He was soon picked back up and roughly pushed against the wall by the older male. The cat's ears went down as he looked up at the older male, scared. The older male leans down, "if you ever leave this room again, I will rip your ear off" he grumbles a bit, and pulls away as he lets them fall back on the floor. He curls up on the cold dirty floor as the older male lets out another 'tch' sound before they unlock the door, and leaves the room. Locking it behind them, leaving the male cat beastman curled up on the floor. Whimpers could be heard from the room as the older male walked down the hall, wincing and holding his head a bit. The mean personality that is in control now is having a mental fight with the other personalities.
