Namjoon's boss had probably called about 100 times. He just couldn't make it to work. He was too scared.

They knew where he worked.

What if one of them stopped by to check if he'd come in?

He really was paranoid, but that's to be expected when two notorious serial killers are after you.

He'd just lied on the couch all night listening to the wind and rain hit against the window glass. Jin hadn't bothered him once throughout the night. The man merely told Namjoon to help himself to whatever was in the fridge, then he disappeared into his room.

Namjoon's eyes felt heavy and dry. Everytime he blinked it felt like little rocks under his eyelids. It wasn't just his boss he was worried about, it was his parents too. They called everyday to check on him. His mother especially. She got scared for Namjoon's safety easily, because she knew just how clumsy he was.

Namjoon was careless.

Many strangers had tried to reel him in when he was a child, and each time he always fell for it. Grabbing the candy straight out of the stranger's hands. It was a relief his mother or father was always there to his rescue before Namjoon had just suddenly come up missing.

Namjoon thought about the look that's probably on his mother's face right now. She might even cry. He wanted to use Jin's phone to call her and let her know that he was alright and that she shouldn't worry much. Of course, she'd question him on why he was ignoring her calls, but a simple 'phone is broken' would be enough to convince her. He hated lying to her, but he couldn't tell her the real reason.

The last thing he wanted was for either of his parents to be dragged into this hell.

The sun had started to show alittle as the heavy rain began to die down. It was exactly 6 am and Jin hadn't come out of his room yet. Namjoon would've never guessed that he was a long sleeper. He just seemed like an early bird. Guess you can't judge people on appearances after all.

He wondered what those two psychopaths were doing now. Were they looking for him? Maybe they'd just decided Namjoon wasn't worth the effort and just moved on to some other poor soul.

He really wanted to get to his house and check up on Yeontan. The cat's been with him since childhood. They were both small. Namjoon still remembered the day he'd found the cat. He was on his way to school and spotted a tiny, fluffy bundle rolled up under a tree snoozing. He'd even skipped school that day. He took the cat and went all the way back home.

They grew up together. He had enough trust that Suga wouldn't hurt Yeontan though. The man loved the cat.

"Morning, Namjoon-ah." Jin called walking into the livingroom scratching his head. His hair was still neat. Guess he isn't a wild sleeper.

"Morning.." Namjoon replied. Jin stared at him for a moment before leaving to go into his kitchen. "Hey, um.. are you busy today?" He asked.

"You mean like work or something?" Jin asked from the kitchen.

"Yeah, like.. do you have somewhere to be later or.. You know."

"If you're asking me out then-"

"That's not it!! I have a cat at home and I'm worried is all." Namjoon said.

"I'll bring you to check on your cat. It's no problem." Jin replied.

"Thanks. I don't mean to be a burden. I'm sorry."

Jin came from the kitchen swinging his car keys he'd grabbed from the counter. He tilted his head to the side slightly. "I told you it isn't a problem for me. Don't apologize."
