The water trickles down the curve of the leaf
As the raindrops down your cheek
Your perseverance is a tree after a nearby
Thunderstruck

Yet here you lie
As steady as a rock
You hold firm to your beliefs

Streaks like water will evaporate
As will your thunder and fists of rage
You are no weakling
You will not wilt

As you start to tilt your head downwards
Nature tells you to lift it up
Release your rain but do not go back to the source
Of strain

Look up!
As the Queen of the Savanna
You will have pride
You are no trophy prize

Listen to your Mother
And walk away in strides with your head held high
