CHAPTER 2: THE BUSH
Sophie walked around the bush to see what Fitz was looking at. What she saw was so funny she had to keep herself from laughing out loud. Crammed awkwardly in the small bush... were Biana... and Tam. They had their arms and legs in a tangled heap, their faces pressed tightly togeth-Sophie let out a snort. The couple quickly broke apart, blushing fiercely. Sophie couldn't think what was funnier -- that Biana and Tam were kissing in a bush or that Biana was oblivious to the fact that during the entire smoochfest, she had a HUGE hairy spider sitting on her head.
"Hey,*snort*Biana," Sophie started, laughing all the way,"LOO...*laugh*K*snicker* UP!!!" She couldn't continue. She was laughing so hard, she couldn't stop. She started rolling on the mossy ground laughing. Sophie's face was the color of a fresh tomato. Biana realized what she was talking about. She felt the top of her head, and the spider jumped onto her hand. Biana screamed. She waved her hands wildly around which made the spider sink its tiny teeth into her finger and the commotion made it loose its footing and it instantly started waving around like a flag by its fangs. It broke off and went flying. (SPOILER ALERT! It doesn't end well for the spider.)
In all the waving of arms and spider-biting chaos, Tam was knocked into a lake right next to the bush and splashed around, trying to get back to shore startling the moonlarks that Alden borrowed to study, and they flew off. Tam eventually swam back to shore and dramatically dragged himself onto the shore spluttering and coughing. Biana was now clutching her finger in agony. Sophie was wheezing and laughing. And Fitz was glaring at Tam. Tam looked at Biana concerned. His eyes drifted to Sophie who was still laughing so hard that tears streamed down her cheeks. He blushed. Then he looked at Fitz who was glaring at him. A light red dusted his cheeks. He gave Fitz a guilty smile and quickly immersed himself in shadows. Fitz growled. Biana screamed. Sophie laughed. And Tam... Tam laughed nervously from his hiding spot in the dark. When Biana had stopped screaming and Sophie had gotten up from the ground, wiping her eyes, Fitz politely asked, "Are Sophie and I are interrupting something?"
"YES!" Biana shout-mumbled angrily glaring at Fitz.
"Well, I had to go get YOUR GUEST from outside while you were SMOOCHING with your BOYFRIEND!" Fitz retorted. Oh, thought Sophie, I guess he really doesn't like me if it was a burden on him or something. Sophie's laughter was completely gone and she sighed. I never said that, said a crisp accented voice that filled Sophie's head with warmth. You.... read my- Sophie started, but Fitz cut her off. I didn't read anything, ok? Fitz told her reassuringly. Oh. Ok. Umm, thank you. Sophie said somewhat unsurely, tugging out an itchy eyelash. Sophie, Fitz, Biana, and Tam all walked up the stairs towards the towering palace.
"Sophie! Tam! Welcome. How are you?" Della called from the open doors.
"Fine," was the answer from both people.
"Why is Tam wet?" Della asked.
"Biana knocked Tam in the water!" Sophie said, a little too cheerily.
"Well, how did that come to pass?" Della questioned.
"BIANA WAS KISSI-" Biana cut Sophie off by cupping her hands over Sophie's babbling mouth.
"Heh-heh-heh. Whaaa? That's not true," Biana said nervously, blushing, "Tam and I - YEAOOOOCH!!!" Biana screamed as Sophie bit into her hand.
"- WERE KISSING!" Sophie shouted, breaking free from her captor.
"Awwwwwwwwwww," Della cooed from where she stood by the door. "Anyways, come in, come in." As the four people walked into the mansion, Della walked away down one of the many corridors squealing about 'Tam and Biana, the two lovebirds.'
