Y/n snickered at a joke ***** made as they walked in front of Ray and Emma.

"Can I do it this time?" Y/n asked the man with a slight smile "I've never done it before!" The man smiled at her "Sure, " He grabbed an umbrella and handed it to her "Go on." The girl nodded and walked up to the piano stepping up onto the stool and opening the top and sticking the umbrella in and clicking something

"Huh?"

***** looked back at the ginger and ravenette "This is our last preparation before we're off." Y/n jumped down smiling at the two before heading into the hall

Ray raised a brow 'She's smiling?'

Emma gasped "An armory!"

The man rolled his eyes "Choose whatever you want. I don't give a crap about Minervas goals. We'll be getting into enemy territory now. This is the land where they live." He took a gun and put it in Emma's hands "If they come for you, weapons won't save your life but it's better than being barehanded. I'm not helping you with this. Choose something that you figure will help you survive."

Y/n held back a laugh when she saw Emma's scared expression as she looked at all the weapons. The h/c-nette walked around and eventually chose her weapons and walked back to the latter with the man

"Pick whatever you like and come up. Just play anything on the piano to return."

"Wait Y/n you're going too?" Lani asked "Yeah!" She replied with a smile "Cool right?" Jemima stopped in her tracks and stared at Y/n with tears forming in her eyes "N-no you can't...please..." Y/n bent down to the girls' level "I'll be back I promise!" Y/n held out her pinky finger "Here let's make a promise ok?" Jemima sniffed and held the girl's finger with her own "You promise you'll come back without getting hurt?" Y/n laughed "I swear I'll come back without getting hurt! After all, I'm going with Stank Ass he'll protect me!" The six-year-old smiled and hugged Y/n.

Y/n listened to Gilda and heard her name included making her smile a bit

"It's my expectation of you."

After everyone said their goodbyes the four of them began to head out on their journey "PICK UP THE PACE WILL YA?" ***** yelled as he raced Y/n as fast as he could "KIDS SUCK AT THIS!" Y/n stuck her tongue out at him as she made it past him "YOU SUCK AT THIS!!"

Y/n placed her hands on her hips with a large grin on her face while Ray and Emma were holding their knees and panting "Not a bad pace wastelands done. We'll aim for a four-day trip." While ***** was talking Y/n grabbed Ray and Emma's waters "You should drink some."

"They see you, you die. Let's go and clear it before sunset."

"Y/n/n you seem happier than usual. What's going on?" Ray whispered to the girl who held her gun tight "Am I not allowed to smile?" He smirked at her question "It su- EMMA!"

Ray leaped out in front of the ginger and was knocked to the floor, Y/n quickly made her way up to a tree to shoot at the demon's eye. she shot it.

Ray ran toward Emma who was frozen in shock "I-i'm alive?" The man walked back to them "Though yer dead didn't cha? You died for real right now kid." Y/n crossed her arms "Couldn't even pull the trigger in time. You're lucky I was there." Her expression turned to a frown "You have to be alert at all times."

Emma gasped for air as she turned to the man "Thank you! Mister, you saved me!" Y/n scoffed "Yeah he saved you. Like he'd do that." She rolled her eyes "We should start moving. Don't wanna stay in one place for too long." The girl hummed as she picked up her bag and climbed down from the tree without looking at the three she began to walk farther and farther away.

'They are coming.'

'You should go back and help.'

'No. Let them learn.'

'Life isn't easy on the outside.'

'In order to survive, you have to take lives.'

'Da- Stank Ass is going to kill one of them... I can feel it.'

'But which one? Ray or Emma?'

After the attack, Y/n found herself with the other three, holding her gun ready to attack.

"Y/n earlier I was trying to tell you something," Ray said making the girl look at him with a blank face "Okay say it." She blinked "Hurry we don't have all day Cyclops." He faced the girl "You should smile more often it suits you." His words made Y/n turn a light pink before speed walking to catch up with *****.

"You should smile more often it suits you." ***** chuckled "Kids gotta crush on you! And from that red on your cheeks I think it's safe to say you have a crush on him too." Y/n rolled her eyes "Shut it, Old man!" He scoffed "Oh come on I practically adopt you and you treat me like this?!" She pointed her gun at the man "Keep talking and I'll shoot."

Now ***** rarely ever got scared, he was tough, he could kill anyone if he wanted, but this pre-teen girl terrified him. Her glare sent shivers down his spine. He was all bark, he said he would kill the kids when they arrived but he didn't. However, If that was Y/n they would've died right there. She was the bite. She was able to take lives without feeling bad. She was smart. Always quick to come up with a plan and always quick to act it out. She would've killed the man a long time ago but for some reason she allowed herself to get close to him.

"Damn okay." He scoffed and walked ahead leaving Y/n to walk in front of Ray and Emma.

Y/n rolled her eyes "I do remember that day. We danced for hours and eventually, Mama found us and we got scolded it was..." she looked at Ray and smiled "...it was wonderful."

Ray turned a bright shade of red seeing her smile "I-it it was- I missed you Y/n the house wasn't the same without you."

It was her turn to turn red "I guess I missed you too..."
