Ryujin's POV

"Thank you"I said and I unbuckle my seat belt

"No worries"Yeji said

I smiled at her before exiting the car and went inside our house

"Finally youre here,go clean the house"mom said as soon as she saw me

"Mom...can I have some rest first-"

I recieve a hard slap from my mother making me flinch

"This ungreatful bitch!,Yuu didnt come hone for days and youre being lazy when I order you to clean the house!"mom shouted

She's drunk again

A tear left my eye

"Mom..."I tried to calm her down

"What!?"she said and was about to hit me again

"Mom calm down shes not worth it"my brother said

I looked at her as I cried

"Let her be dad might hurt you if he saw his precious princess hurt again"my brother said

Why are you guys veing like this to me...

"Go up to your room you stupid bitch"mom said

I quickly ran to my room and sobbed in my bed

Yeji's POV

Ryujin and Chaeryeong entered the cafeteria changing my mood quickly

But my smile quickly turned to a frown when Ryujin didnt even looked at me

And why on earth is she wearing a mask

"Ddaeng!"I called her out

I saw her closed her eyes before looking at me

Chaeryeong grabbed her hand and dragged her to our table making her best friend sit beside me

"Why are you wearing a mask?"I asked

"I-Im sick"she replied and looked away from my gaze

Causing me to see the gap of her mask and saw a purple-ish patch on her right cheek

I quickly raised my hands to her left cheek and made her look at me

"Yeji we're in school"she said seriously

"Its not about that"I said and tried to remove her mask

"Stop what are you doing,you might get infected of my illness"she said

"Stop moving"I firmly said and finally removed her mask revealing a large bruise on her right cheek

I frowned my eyebrows

"Who did that"I said angrily

"I hit my face on the wall"she replied

"Ryu,that looks like you got punched by someone"Lia replied

"Isnt Jeno bothering you this past few days did he do that!?"Chaeryeong asked

"No"Ryujin replied

"Part of me doesnt believe you Im going to talk to him"I said and stood up but she grabbed my hand to stop me

"Your mom!?unnie why would she hit you like that!?"Yuna said

"Where's uncle Jimin"Chaeryeong asked

"H-He left for a business trip...C-Chaer Im s-scared"Ryujin said as her tears fall down

"I-I want to b-but I-Im scared that dad wont believe me..."Ryujin said and hugged her best friend tightly

"Oh you poor soul"Lia said and held Ryujin's hand to comfort her

"Shh..dont worry I'll come over and stay at your house for a while"Chaeryeong said

"Hell no"I blurted out making Lia,Yuna,and Chaeryeong look at me

"She's staying at my house"I said

"Are you insane dad will kill me"Ryujin said

"And I might do the same to your mother if I saw another bruise on your body,give me your phone"I said

"What"Ryujin said

I just groaned and grabbed her phone from her pocket

"Yeji give me that"Ryujin said and stood up

"Stay still"I said and turned on her phone went to the contacts to call her dad

"What are you doing!?give me that!"Ryujin said

"Stay still or I will fuck you right here right now"I whispered making her gulp

"Hello honey?"her dad finally picked up

"Hello uncle its me Yeji you know?Ryujin's friend"I said

I met him once when I went to Ryujin's house to give her shirt back when she accidentally left it on my house

"Oh hi there Yeji,is there something wrong why do you have Ryujin's phone?"He asked

"Ryujin is currently in the bathroom but I called you to tell you something"I said

"No!"Ryujin whispered

I gave her a shut up look and she rolled her eyes

"Ok go on?"Her father replied

"Can Ryujin stay at my house for a while?"I said

Ryujin looked at me

"For what reason?"he asked

"We were paired up for a again project and we might have to stay late at night while doing that project so I need her to stay at my house"I said

"Oh ok thats fine then"he replied

"Thank you uncle take care"I said

"You and Ryujin too,dont stay up all night for the project ok?"he said

"Yes uncle"I said and he ended the call

"Wait for me after class we'll stop by your house to grab some of your clothes your sleeping at my house"I said and gave her phone back

She nodded

I looked at her cheeks and there are still streams of tears do I raised my hand and wiped it with my thumb

"Lets eat lunch"I said and sat back down
