The night that I got back from Clay's will never leave my memories. It was the night where all boys came together for one cause. Me.
I got home around 11. Everything was normal. Nick was asleep, Clay was driving home, George was across the hall, and I was getting into bed. I was pretty tired from my long day and wanted to get some sleep for school tomorrow. When I finally was able to fall asleep, my dreams started.
--The Dream--
I was in my childhood apartment with my sister and parents. We were all sitting on the couch watching T.V. My mother got up to make us some popcorn from the kitchen. While my mother was gone, my father grabbed my youngest sisters and started hitting her like crazy.
There was no stopping him. Then when he heard my mother come back, he put my sister down. My mother walked in and didn't say anything. After the movie was over, my mother went to use the bathroom. That's when he started hitting my other sister. I yelled and screamed for him to stop. He did, but only for a second. He then began to hit me instead. I was yelling and screaming in pain but no one was stopping anything.
Until my mother came back in and shot him right in front of me. The gun shot sound was enough to wake me up.
-------------------
I shot up from my bed and just began bawling my eyes out. It was loud enough for Nick to hear me from his room. He rushed in and tried to pull me into a hug.
Nick: What's wrong?! What's happening?! Y/N talk to me?!
I could get out any words. I could tell that I was scaring Nick. He grabbed his phone and called someone. I didn't know who, and at this point I didn't care.
About a minute later, George busts through the door and runs into my room.
George: Y/N!! What the hell?! Its okay! Me and Nick are both here!
At this point, I had calmed down slightly. Don't get me wrong, I was still bawling. But at least I was able to pick my head up here and there. It was enough for me to get up and lock myself into the bathroom. I heard Nick and George talking outside the door.
Nick: What should we do.
George: Well think Nick. Who knows Y/N the best? Who was there with Y/N during her past.
Nick: Clay...
George: Exactly. Now go call him. I will try to get Y/N out.
I heard Nick get up and walk away. then I heard George begin to shake the door handle.
George: You have to let us in at some point. You don't have to talk. We just need to see that you're okay. Please Y/N, come out.
I started to unlock the door. George slowly opened the door until he was bale to see me. I was sitting on the floor by the sink. Still crying. That's when Nick come into the bathroom.
Nick: I called him.
George: And?
Nick: He wants us to take her to him.
George: HE CAN'T COME HERE?! DID YOU TELL HIM THAT SHE HASN'T SAID A WORD IN TWENTY MINUTES?!
Nick: I'll go call him again.
George: No. I will. You stay here.
Nick: Okay.
Nick turned his focus back on me. He put his finger on my chin and lifted my head.
Nick: Hey....You got to tell us what happened. Or at least let us know if you want to see Clay or not.
I just shook my head up and down.
Nick: Yes what? Do you want to go see Clay?
I shook my head no.
Nick: Do you want Clay to come here?
I shook my head yes.
Nick: Okay, I'm gonna go tell George.
Once Nick left, my emotions took over again. This time worse than before. When George and Nick got back they realized that I couldn't be alone.
George: Please Y/N. Talk to us.
Nick: Don't you get it yet?! She doesn't want to talk to us. Maybe Clay, but not us.
I could hear the hurt in Nick's voice. That's when I finally needed to say something.
Y/N: That's......Not......True.....
George: Wait. What?
Y/N: I.....do......just......not........yet.
Nick: Hey hey hey, that's okay. Just breath.
After an hour of calming, I was able to pull myself together. I appreciate the patience that Nick and George had with me. Nick was always talking to me. George would get me tissues and water. They made a great team. Nick heard the door knock and looked at me.
Nick: He's here. Are you gonna be okay?
Y/N: Yeah.....
Nick got up and walked to the door. George scooted closer to me and kept his arm around my shoulders. As soon as nick unlocked the door, Clay busted in. He went straight for me. George could see the hurt in his eyes. It was enough for him to move out of the way for Clay to scoot in.
Clay: Hey. What happened?! Did you have another dream?
Nick: A dream?
Clay: Yeah. She has these really bad nightmares every month. It alters her past into something worse than what it really was. Every time she gets one, it gets worse. So I can't imagine what this one was about.
Y/N: He was beating them.
George: He? Beating who?
Clay: Aww, poor thing. That's means her dad was beating her sisters.
Nick: How did you get that?!
Clay: I was there when these first started. It all started with just replaying the night of her parents divorce. Now there is violence. What else happened Y/N?
Y/N: She........He.......
Clay: What did she do?
Y/N: Gun......
Clay: Oh no.
Nick: GUN?!
Clay: She didn't..... Its not real.
George: Didn't what?!
Clay: Her mother shot her father.
Nick: Oh shit.
Clay: I told you they get worse.
George: So what should we do?
Nick: I don't want to leave her.
Clay: There is no way she will be able to go to school tomorrow. So George, go and send emails to her teachers saying she won't be there.
George: Alright.
Clay: Nick, go gather blankets and pillows. We will all sleep with her on her bedroom floor tonight.
Nick: You got it.
George went to grab my laptop. Nick went to our closet and grabbed all of our best blankets and pillows. Clay just stayed with me while I cried quietly in his shoulder. When George was done, he helped Nick make the make shift bed on the floor. I was placed in the middle. Clay and nick by my side while George was laying perpendicular to my head.
With all of there warmth surrounding me, I was able to lay semi calmly. I couldn't fully fall asleep, but at least I knew I was safe. I need to see my sisters.
