Nightmare

Techno POV

I sighed, taking off my glasses and rubbing my eyes. The glasses were barely holding together, the middle stuck together with tape. I snorted to myself, and glanced at the time. 4am? It wasn't anything knew. I rarely slept these days, I just enjoyed the lonely aura of the night. I felt like it was the only time I ever got to be alone.

I shut down my PC, deciding it was probably time to sleep, when I heard my door creak open. I whipped my head around, to find a distraught Tommy. Tommy is quite private when it comes to his true emotions, he's always putting on this harsh and boisterous exterior, so to see him so vulnerable made me feel sick to the stomach with worry.

"Tommy? What are you doing awake?", I gently questioned the boy, scared he would break at any second. He just stared at me for a moment, fear lacing his ocean blue eyes.

"You'd never leave me, would you Techno?", his voice sounded hoarse, like he had been sobbing for hours. I stared at him in shock, my heart aching.

"Of course not Toms, why would you think that?"

"I... I had a nightmare. It felt real and I'm sorry for annoying you so late i don't want to be annoying I just-" I cut the tall boy off, wrapping him in a hug. He froze, but soon melted into my arms, his tears wetting my pink hoodie. I didn't care, as long as he was safe.

"I'm here Tommy. I promise i'm not going anywhere, not anytime soon. You'll always have me nagging in your ear", I gently whispered into his ear, as he just held on tighter to me. "You're safe, I promise".

The younger boy smiled. No matter what, he will always have Techno by his side.
