The monsters

They are not the ones that hide under your beds

Or the ones that come out of your closet

Those are stories told around a camp fire or by older siblings to scare us

But the monsters you would fear the most are in your head

They come out late at night
They take every ounce of happieness from you
Sometimes they can even take your life

These monsters are the worst
They are the ones no one believes in
But they are real
And they will rip you apart

Never underestimate the monsters in your head
