Aaron Hotchner x Reader

My friend wanted me to do an Aaron Hotchner x Reader where the reader is being flirted with by Morgan/Spencer and Hotch gets lowkey jealous, and after a case things be changing.

This is long and a slow burn, its my first Criminal Minds fanfiction thingy so... I sowry if bad, but, I hope this is okay, hope you guys like this, thank you, enjoy everybody!

You were young, freshly joined the BAU team, you were so happy with your job and being accepted by everyone. You were part of the family, but there was one person who wasn't as close to you as the others, Aaron Hotchner. He was keeping distance between you two. You had a hard time trying to get his walls down, you knew his wife died well over a year ago, so you figured he would let you in when he was ready. But trying to get close to him you started to like him, but you couldn't' help but be flirty with the others from being close to them, you wanted that with him. Then there was this one case, things changed between the two of you afterwards. 

JJ came into the round table room and presented the case, "We have seven victims found in the lower woods of Estes Park, Colorado. All the victims have [y/h/c] and [y/e/c], about [your age] years of age, and [your body type]. He keeps them for three days then kills and dumps them. Amber Crewsor went missing last night at midnight, she fits the killers type perfectly."

"That sounds a lot like [y/n]." spencer said looking at you. "Lets hope I wont be used as bait." you add. "Let's hope we wont. Wheels up in thirty." Hotch said and rushed out the room. On the plain you and Morgan talked a lot. You discussed the woman he went out on a date with the previous night, he asked if you had dated anyone recently, you said no but that it was okay. You had been single forever and liked the single life. "Single life is the best life." you say, "Sure kid, I have a feeling you have a body count and are at least slightly kinky." he teases. You didn't know Hotch was eavesdropping. 

You arrive in Denver International Airport roughly 90minutes from Estes Park, then you guys drive to Estes Park. In one car was you, Morgan, Hotch, and Garcia. The other with JJ, Rossi, Spencer, and Prentiss. Morgan was shotgun, Hotch driving, you and Garcia chilling in the back. "Hey, girly." Garcia said as she opened her purse and pulled out earrings that looked like Simpsons doughnuts. "Happy early birthday." she whispered. "I love them." you whisper and quickly put them on. Only Garcia knew your birthday was coming up, you told her you didn't want to celebrate it, especially while on a case. 

Morgan and Hotch overheard, Morgan turned and adjusted himself in his seat to look back at you. "Happy Birthday kid." Morgan said smiling at you. 

"Yeah, Happy Birthday, [y/n]" Hotch said softly.

"Thanks guys, but I want to keep it low, I want to focus on the case." 

"Not with those cute little party earrings you got on." Morgan smiled wide, you role your eyes. "They are not party earrings, they are doughnuts."

"Hey, stop messing with the birthday girl and look at the road. We don't need her to die a day before her birthday." Garcia chimes in. You arrive at the police department, the chief comes to you guys, "Thank you for coming, I'm chief Weaver."

Hotch shook the chiefs hand, "SSA. Hotchner. This is my team," he then introduced you all and continued, "Glad to be here to help. What can you tell us?"

"We haven't really had murder like this in a long time. Some of the victims are local and two are tourists. We have tried to keep things on the low, we don't need our people freaking out, especially with the influx of tourists visiting."

"Would a vast chunk of tourists be here for the Stanley Hotel? Or the shops?" you ask.

"As a matter of fact both the tourist girls were staying at The Stanley just up there." The chief pointed. "Do you think that is important?" he put his hands on his hips. "Maybe the unsub works there or something involving the hotel. I am not sure." you respond. Reid steps up next to you. "Maybe the team should stay at the hotel, just to see."
