Alexander awoke before the sun rose, he yawned and stretched before practicing some yoga and praying to his god. He normally woke this early in the morning although he couldn't tell you the time. He measured his life by the sun, the moon and the stars, time seemed like a foreign concept to the teen. He had grown up in a small commune worshipping the god of death and rebirth, although some may of called it a cult he called it home. His family was still their now probably curious of where he was but not worried.

His first day of high school started today, and he didn't wish to be late but the schedule didn't make sense to him. To be fair most things here didn't make sense, he hardly even remembered applying to this school of adventuring if at all. But maybe he did... he was looking for his father... either way it would be a nice start at trying to grow accustomed to society and maybe he could even meet some new people. In the commune all he had was his older brother and sister and his younger sister along with his mom and a few others. His father wasn't the only one missing, a group had gone on a missionary trip but no one came back. They were assumed dead and they held a funeral for them. It hadn't felt right to Alex but his mother kept a shrine in his fathers name and Alex, daily would pray for his return.

Alex slowly rose from his meditation and prepared himself a nice balanced breakfast.
"Health is important.."
he reminded himself aloud as he made toast to go with his apple juice and raspberry preserves.  He made his way to his closet after finishing and put in what he assumed to be a nice outfit. It consisted of a black turtleneck and jeans, gold jewelry, a dark aqua coat with amethyst crystals hanging from the breast, his glasses, and last but not least his favorite boots. Knee high ones that were the color of light Carmel. The sort that appears before it is fully cooked a nice creamy tan that hugged his legs perfectly.

He made his way to the school with his bag and schedule, as he arrived he noticed he was behind the announcements had already begun.

"And to pass the trail to get into the school you can either choose to go with your class or to go with a senior to lead you... that is all" The floating skull with jewels had said before he vanished. The commotion of everyone moving caused the small monk next to podium to collapse and drop all of his nite cards.

Alex helped the man as he saw one girl who wore a bright cape purposeful crush some of the cards, Alex smiled at the other who helped him. A young boy about his age smiled back as they finished.

"My names Alexander Wilder! Thank you for the help" he held out his hand to be gracious.
The other boy nods but does something strange he covers his hand with his sleeve before he shakes hands. "
I'm Samuel, no problem"  the boy seemed reserved but not shy.
Alex promptly nods back.
"Well it was a pleasure" Sam said as he trotted off to catch up to the rest of his class.

Alexander joined a little later, he followed the red line and watched the other students follow the floor tiles correctly. He then promptly pushed the keys in the same order they lite up and passed. It was too easy for him, he realized a few moments after that he hadn't seen Sam and he wasn't in the cafeteria where those who passed were.

The girl with the cape came walking out with a llama, and so did a blind girl who wore bright and strange clothes with a buff man who seemed to have carried her through. It was obvious they choose to go with seniors. The blind girl sat at his table.
"Hey! I'm Thia" she said in a warm yet funny tone.
Alex grinned at the bizarre girls demeanor,.
"Nice to meet you I'm Alexander but you can call me Alex! How did the trial go?"
She hesitated for a moment before saying.
"To be completely honest he practically carried me the whole time and didn't seem to understand they I can't see" They chuckled for a moment until something caught his eye.

It was Sam coming out of an office, stomping off in their direction. Sam huffed as he sat next to him.
"The principal tried to take something from me because I failed!" He exclaimed furiously.
"They guys an asshole" he huffed again.
Both Thia and Alex broke out laughing
"Who's this girl?" Sam asked again.
"Oh I'm Thia sorry I'm blind" she pointed at her eyes which seemed slightly foggy and distant. "I've been trying to get a dog and some accommodations but the school isn't very helpful"
Sam nods solemnly.  But Alex gets up and suddenly runs off only to be followed by Thia and Sam.
"Just because I'm bling doesn't mean you can just run off!" She state's exasperated.

In front of them was a giant fish creature with tentacles, that was making food. Alex stares in wonderment.
"Hello you can call me X, is there anything you'd like?"
"No! No in fact I already ate but I was wondering if you had any recipes. You see I love to cook myself and these look amazing!" He stuttered as the other two were still catching up.

He grabbed a muffin from the table and tried it as X smiled as he wrote a recipe for Alex.
"It's not often I find others who like to cook and here, take these since you look like you're enjoying that"

Alex looked took the recipe and more muffins he received but as soon as he tasted the muffin something strange happened. He started to cry. This chocolate muffin was the best thing he had ever consumed and as he looked around he realized he wasn't the only one. Tons of freshmen where crying while eating only a select few seemed not to cry but you could tell they were just holding back. This thing was magical.

Alex went back to the table as Sam ordered a chocolate cake and Thia got some Mac and cheese. Classes were next and you wouldn't be surprised to hear Alex was late again. He had t realized what the bell meant and only realized too late. The teacher didn't seem to mind as long as he paid her extra. She was a cleric of wealth and she made all her students pay and he figured he would be a teachers pet and pay extra. It's not like money meant anything to him anyway. He waltzed out of the room slowly to lunch. Where he meet with the other two, Sam with the cake still and Thia with more Mac and Cheese. Alex sat down and grabbed out the lunch he had made, it wouldn't compare to X but he didn't feel like crying like, Sam had been trying to hide.

Sam left for a moment as he walked around asking people if they'd like some cake, he couldn't carry it around all day. A few took slices but once he got to a table with a bunch of seniors. One of them put his leg out as Sam walked by and tripped over face planting into the cake.

All of the sudden a audible gasp could be heard as Sam's giant cake fell to the ground with a clatter. In moments Sam started to fight the large guy who had tripped him, the guy didn't stand a chance. The buff dude was launched into a pot of soup and left. The floor covered in a mess of cake, which would be cleaned up by the janitors later.

The bell rung as free time was about to start, the kids formed in groups to work together as another meeting was being called.
