Chapter 4

"Hey, the director is calling for us." Gulf told Mew but the latter seems in a deep thought, he didn't even realize Gulf's existence.

"Oi!" Gulf tap his shoulders lightly, just to get his attention.

"Huh?" Mew asked. Gulf scrunched a face.

"What the hell is wrong with you? You've become so silent these past few days." Gulf told Mew. He's quite worried.

"Ahm nevermind. So what are you saying again?" Gulf shook his head.

"See. What's really you're problem?" Mew just stood up and sighed.

"You." Before Gulf can talked back Mew already made his way to the directors office.

"Alaiwa" Gulf follows and goes on the same direction.

They all salute to the director before they were instructed to take their seats.

"So, you already know that you two are my most trusted and well-skilled policemen. That's why here, this cases
I want the both of you to work on it." The director hand them the papers.

"Sir, I think I prefer Techno as my partner. Gulf is still a newbie, don't you think its better if its a senior to senior line up." Mew asked hopefully while Gulf on the other hand gritted his teeth in anger.

"What do you mean huh?! Why do you always makes me feel that you're stronger! I know I'm still a newbie but don't forget you're just one year older than me. I just graduated 2 years later since..."

"Since you mess up." Mew but in which made Gulf's anger rise even more. He grabs Mew's collar and taunt him as if picking up a fight.

"Let go!" Gulf's dad shouted. Gulf released Mew and tried to calm himself.

Mew not wanted to imply that he's stronger than Gulf, he's just obviously worried. Although, Gulf is no wonder a very skillful policemen especially in terms of fight he don't want him to be at risk. Considering that Gulf is very brave he became careless to the point that he's not afraid to be hurt or to die. Every mission that Gulf handled he will accomplished those but he'll end up injured. That's why he doesn't want to be paired up again to Gulf cause just like their past missions he won't end up doing the mission instead he will just go through protecting the younger. Gulf's safety would be his priority not the mission itself. But now, Gulf misunderstands him again.

"Gulf, this is your second warning. I've told you countless times already about your shitty behavior in and out of the office!" Gulf's dad scolded him. They just both remain silent.

"You can go now." They salute the director before leaving and Gulf's dad sighed deeply as soon as they left. Gulf always give me a headache.

"Let's make a plan now." Gulf said casually as if he didn't do any bad to Mew.

"Plan by yourself. I'm not interested." Mew said with a stern look. Gulf slammed his table before leaving him.  

I'm fucking worried about you. But you always sees me as the bad guy.

Mew ruffled his hair in frustration.

"Alaiwa. What's happening to the both of you? I walked passed by Mew's desk and his so annoyed and saw as you. Did you guys quarrel again?" Techno asked Gulf while rubbing his head. This atmosphere is nothing new to him but still, it's stressing him too.

"What else do you think?! Do you even saw as being sweet to each other!" Gulf shouted at Techno. Techno just placed his two hands on the both of  his ears.

"What the fuck! Are you angry to me too!"

"Yeah. You better go to Mew now, he likes you as his partner." Techno raised an eyebrow. He doesn't understand what Gulf just said. Partner? In what?

"Hey you're crazy. Mew's dream partner is..."

"Techno!" Mew stopped Techno from talking. Techno eyed Mew in horror. Damn! He got caught.

"Ah,,, haha nothing. I'll go now, bye!" Techno bid his goodbye immediately afraid taht something will happen to him due to being nosy. Mew and Gulf on the other hand seems to be in a staring contest.

"Won't you follow your ideal partner?" Gulf starts on provoking him again.

"I will." Mew smirk directly at Gulf first before turning his back. Gulf clenched a fist.

"Fuck you! I'll show you, just you wait."

"Okay, best wishes little boy."

You can do whatever you want, I'll make sure to protect you anyway.
