oikawa woke up in the middle of the night, sweating furiously but cold as hell. his alarm clock suddenly seemed too bright, the neon yellow numbers imprinting itself permanently in his eyes.

he blinked multiple times, and faced away from the clock. 

he had noticed a plate full of food next to his bed, a note beside it. reaching out of his little cocoon of blankets, he grabbed the card. his curtains were slightly open, the strands of moonlight just enough for him to see.

happy friday! i think youre running a fever, so remember to eat the soup and the medicine. don't eat the soup cold. wake me up even if you read this late in the night!!

it was obvious his mom had wrote it. he sat up, wrapping his arms around him. he was still in his uniform, which was quite uncomfortable. he slowly stood up, letting go of the blankets. his phone fell, but he caught it before it touched the floor. 

he pressed on his most recent notification.
