Chapter 3

Jessica

" Mum? Ava? " I  ask shocked and my bloody cheeks stain with warm tears.

I almost go crazy seeing my mother and sixteen year old sister with their hands tied and being held roughly by huge men.

" mum-my " I try standing up wanting to hug her desperately but a strong hand carelessly holds me back, not even budging as I struggle.

" Jessica are you okay?? " my mum panics at my sight and I see tears rolling down her face. Ava's face was utterly red and I already know she has been crying.

It didn't look like these men had hurt them physically  but I was worried about their mental health.

" what did you do to my sister! " Ava cries glaring at the strong man holding me.

She definitely didn't know they were taking orders from the short man devil

Breath in jess you got this, breath in, be strong.

" If this is about me then why are they here? " I summon a courage to ask.

" Jessica no,this isn't about you, they want money " my mum canters and as much as I want to believe her, as much as I knew this wasn't suppose to be happening, I knew they wanted something more which I didn't have.

" You Lied to me and stole from me, I'm not going to be satisfied by only ruining you but along side your secret. "

Why on earth is he referring to my family as a secret why??.

Lan takes two steps away from me looking directly into my eyes.

I just have a bad feeling about this.

" I want the led code you stole from me back. " he states stretching out his hand determined to receive what I didn't have.

Out of everything in this world, I certainly did not expect, what?, a led code?.

" A led code? " me, mum and Ava ask together, unbelievably.

" Don't play dumb with me, I have no time for jokes "
He loads his pistol pointing it directly at my mum and sister.

" Jess what's he talking about? What freaking led code did you steal from him! " my sister asks me crying and I almost lose my mind.

" You have sixty seconds to hand the code or they die "

" No please, don't do this " Mum and Ava beg and I search my brain confused with tears flowing freely down my face.

I need to do something, I can't just watch the most important people in my life be killed, but it's not me, I wasn't the thief.

My heart beats a million times, my face turns red with my veins already sticking out my fore head, my body sweats under my hood and my hands and legs tremble with fear.

I couldn't breath well at this moment

" I do-nt k-k-no-w..." I try to say something but all I could focus on was the gun being pointed at my family.

" 5 " he counts down

I struggle to free myself from the man holding me but it was impossible

" P-p-l-ease " I try to beg but I wasn't me anymore, I was confused and scared.

" 4 "  he looks up into my teary eyes smiling evilly

" 3 "

" Jess what the hell! Freaking give him his fucking code " my sister says again, cursing in between tears. panicked, and my mum looks into my eyes trying to search for answers.

My heart breaks knowing they don't believe I have nothing to do with this.

" You're making a mistake " I look down into his eyes pleading.

" 2 "

" P-p-l-ease don't do this " I struggle with the figure holding me.

Time slows down as I look between the gun and my family.

" I'll give you the code " I blurt out lying and he looks at me not lowering his gun.

" then give... "

I shut my eyes almost screaming as I hear a gun shut and the grip on my body loosen.

I look down to see the huge man who had been holding me on the floor groaning in pain, bloodied.

Someone in the room had shot him, all the men in the room turn to the direction where the bullet had come from, raising their weapons, suddenly alarmed including their baby lord.

I run to hug my mum and sister using this distraction to figure a way to loosen the rope on our hands.

Before they can figure out what is going on the door to the room flings open and men storm in.

Gunshot begin to fly and exchange of bullet immediately starts.

lan's men drop down to the ground one after the other instantly. And I notice him taking cover while trying to make a phone call.

" what's going on " Ava cries as I succeed in loosing the rope tied to my mums hands and she wraps her arms around us protectively.

I search desperately for an escape route but there was none, this room had only one door which was were the men trooped in and there was no freaking window.

" mum where's dad " I manage to ask my mother and they stare at me sadly.

" what's wrong " I cry looking at her and her eyes suddenly flutter shut.

" mum!! " Ava yells trembling as a bullet dives into her stomach, blood rushes out of her sides and her body suddenly slumps to the ground

" No this can't be happening " I sob trying to wrap my arms around my lifeless mother.

I look up to see a man walking towards us with men following behind him

These weren't Lans  men, these were fresh new men.

" Jess... " Ava trembles as she notice the men approaching us and a lump grows in my throat

This is it.

We are going to be killed without even knowing why.

I hear another gun shot and this time it was shot at my sister, the only family I had left lays in a pull of blood, I  close my eyes and allow tears flow freely waiting for my life to be taken and saving me from the eternal misery of watching my family die.

I close my eyes embracing death in full arms but it never comes.

Someone drags me off the floor and I almost run mad.

" where are you freaking taking me!! "

" No, no, please I don't want to live! "

" kill me !! "

I protest over and over but they keep dragging me to an unknown place.

" Please kill me " I keep begging repeatedly, crying, but they never listen.

My spine and body weakens, my head aches and within a split of second I pass out hoping to never return back to life.

I deserve to die, my family have been killed, I deserve to die.

" Please kill me ".
