2 hogwarts

         This chapter is a little longer than the last one

       Annie's POV:

         I walked into the compartment and saw no one else sitting there it was just Draco I sat down beside him and looked out the window. I could feel him staring at me, I looked at him, his face full of concentration, I wasn't sure why he looked as he did. " what are you looking at?" I asked him, he shook his head and said " your hair? What did you do? Your hair isn't naturally green , is it?" I laughed a little , " no I dyed it, green is not my natural hair colour " I said. My hair was black with green tips.

       I looked at his eyes, they were reflecting the light shining through the window. I felt like I was enchanted, I just couldn't look away. His eyes his gaze felt so powerful, it was like he was telling me to just keep looking into his eyes forever. I had never felt such a strong urge to kiss anyone, I wanted to kiss him, but I decided against it, I knew it was a bad idea but sometimes going through with bad ideas makes the best fun. But this would only lead to trouble. I slid  away before anything could happen  even though I wanted something to happened I went back to looking out the window and acted like nothing happened.

Before I knew it we were there. I got up and said that I'd see him later he looked disappointed in how fast I left seeing as we did almost kiss, it was like I was almost running down the hall I heard my name being called but I didn't stop I just kept walking, we got inside and went straight to the great hall I walked through the doors not watching where I was going, I ran into someone,  we both fell over  they stood up laughing  and offered me their hand I took it and continued to look at the ground I was embarrassed, "I'm sorry" I told them " I should watch where I'm going" they laughed and said " it's okay Annie your not the only klutz here"  it was Cedric Diggory  I looked at him and smiled " yeah, your not wrong but at least I haven't tripped over air yet" I told him well laughing he rolled his eyes and said " one time, it was only one time" I continued to laugh soon he joined in, I gave him a hug and said " it's good to see you Cedric, but I should go sit down the sorting is about to start" " yeah I'll see you later Annie, and we'll your at it don't trip on air" he said

       I went over and sat down at the Slytherin table, the great hall smelled of a Turkey dinner, I smiled and talked to a few friends. I could see the Griffindoor table, I could see my so called friends there sitting talking to the people around them, then Harry had noticed that I was looking over and stoped talking, I rolled my eyes and went back to talking to my friends. I saw draco and looked away fast, I didn't want to believe what had almost happened but I couldn't just pretend that it didn't happen.

Harry's POV:

          I felt bad about how we acted towards Annie on the train, I've known her forever and yet i was being a jerk to her I know it doesn't really make sense as to why was, but I could never tell her why, she's my best friend but I fear that she may be getting to close to malfoy, and I care about her to much to let her get hurt by him, we were going to talk to her about it but none of us could find the right words to say before she left, I wanted to tell her that we care we are just worried that he's going to hurt her, we all care about her too much to let malfoy break her heart. After she left I was going to find her to try and talk to her. I was about to call her name again but before I could I saw her walk into Draco's compartment.

I couldn't stand to see her fall into his trap, I walked back into the compartment, Ron looked at me and asked " well, where is she?" I took a deep breath and said " she's with Draco" Hermione scoffed and shook her head " why am I not surprised" said Hermione " she's clearly got one thing in her mind and it's clearly not her friends" I looked at Hermione in anger " don't talk about her like that" I told her, she rolled her eyes and looked out the window, I know Hermione means well but she's not the best when it comes to Annie, they are friends but that's only because they know I hate it when they fight, they only fight when I'm not around. I found them in the middle of a brawl before it was not pretty. They were rolling on the ground and screaming, not a pretty sight I'd say.

Once the train ride was over I noticed how fast Annie was walking it was like she ran past everyone, she had a shocked look on her face, I tried to get her attention but she wasn't listening.  I called her name a couple times but she kept walking. We all got of the train and I watched as the first years followed hagrid, the rest of us headed to the great hall I was a few people behind Annie, who was still basically running and then she ran into the great hall and fell onto someone I wasn't sure who it was because I was still walking and couldn't get a good look, I went straight to my table and sat across from Ron and Hermione, they looked to be sitting really close together, so close that they were practically touching. I gave them a weird look , Hermione giggled a little and Ron made some faces at her, okay that's weird I thought.

            Hermione kept giggling and I was starting to find this really annoying and said " what is going on with you two?, you've been all touchy and your not mad at each other and it's starting to freak me out" they looked and each other and Ron started to speak " well, we are kinda dating" Hermione rolled her eyes and smacked his arm " are dating" Ron said  it was quite for a second, " oh cool" I told them, it'll be nice to not have them fighting as much, I could see Annie from where I was sitting. she looked so beautiful,  she noticed that I was looking and stopped smiling for a second the looked away and continued talking to her friends. I noticed someone else was starting at Annie it was Oliver wood. He looked so fascinated, Annie has always been pretty but over the summer it seems as though she got even prettier.

Oliver was sitting close to me he leaded over and said " I see you've noticed Annie as well"  I didn't notice that my face had gone red, I looked a little embarrassed " it's okay, you don't need to be embarrassed, she's pretty,nobody blames you"  he told me " it's just that I was such a jerk to her earlier" I said to him , "yeah I heard about that" he looked me right in the eyes and said " I know you, you wouldn't do that on purpose, she's your best friend, I'm guessing you were trying to protect her?"  I looked down at the table and nodded, " did you tell her that? Tell her you were just trying to protect her?" He asked  " no" I said quietly, " if she doesn't know then tell her, you can't just expect her to find that out on her own, and beside if you want to protect her from Draco, then you need to tell her that" I looked at him with a annoyed face " oh cause it's just that easy" I said sarcastically,

          A few minutes later he gave me a stupid looking grin, he was going to do something he knew that I wouldn't like, and out of no where he started screaming he was yelling " ANNIE, ANNIE, I NEED TO TALK TO YOU!" She looked up from what she was doing and got up and started walking to wards Oliver, he looked at me and said " your welcome" , Annie came over to us and said " yeah what's up?" I didn't say anything, Oliver hit me on the shoulder, I looked and him and mouthed " what the hell" , I stood up and looked at Annie. She stared  at me awkwardly, " I need to talk to you"  I told her " ok, you wanna go somewhere else?" She asked, we walked out of the great hall and we just kinda stood in silence for a couple minutes, " so ...  what did you wanna talk about?"  I looked at her and said " I'm sorry for what happened on the train"  " it's okay, I just wish I understood why" she told me " we were trying to find the right words to say that we are worried about you getting close to Draco, I don't want to see you get hurt" I told her " that makes a lot of sense but I just wish you would have said something instead of doing what you did" she said

After talking everything over I could hear fast foot steps from inside the great hall I wasn't sure what was going on, the doors of the great hall were closed and all of a sudden they swung open and Draco walked out and grabbed Annie by the arm and started dragging her " what the hell are you doing?" She asked him " I don't have to explain anything to you, I'll do what I want" she was trying to get her arm free but the more she tugged the more he tightened his grip. Annie was clearly getting annoyed with this, he wouldn't let her go. She was so done with this that she told him to let her go " if you have any respect for me you'll let me go" she told him but he wasn't listening, she stopped dead in her tracks, Draco turned to look at her and she didn't hesitate for a second and punched him in the face, he let her go, Draco had fallen to the ground.  We walked back into the great hall, she gave me a smile and walked back to the slytherin table and sat down I went back to mine. I sat down next to Oliver and I had a big smile on my face.

         A couple minutes later Oliver spoke " how'd it go?" I gave him a smile and said " better then I thought it would".
