“So, sleepover?”

I rolled my eyes at Charlie. “Don’t you always spend the night anyways?”

“No, on weekends you sleep at my place.”

I slapped his arm lightly. “That’s because you whine about not being able to sleep without me!”

“Well, we’ve been sleeping together since we were kids!”

"That's true." I shrugged, gazing out the window.

"Can we have a movie night?" Charlie asked, pushing out his bottom lip.

"Don't we always?" I giggled, turning to glance at him.

He smiled. "Always."

“Congratulations Charlie!” My mom yelled as soon as we walked in the door, pulling him into a tight hug. “I always knew you could do it.”

“Well, I couldn’t have done it without Sav.” He said, wrapping an arm around my shoulders.

My mom raised a brow at me, and I quickly shook my head no.

She knew how I felt about Charlie, but she also knew that I would never date him. She always tells me I’m just being stubborn, but I know what would happen.

Both of our hearts would end up broken, nothing lasts forever.

“You guys staying here tonight?”

“Yeah, we’re just gonna watch some movies.” I shrugged, snuggling into Charlies embrace.

My mom smirked. “Have fun.”

Charlie looked between me and my mom, a confused look on his face.

“C'mon Char.” I sighed, got lacing his hand with mine and leading him to my bedroom.

I shut my door behind us, kicking off my shoes and laying on my bed.

“Your mom is being weird.” Charlie stated, grabbing the tv remote and turning on Netflix.

“When is she not?” I groaned, wishing he didn’t notice her behavior.

“True.” He chuckled, climbing into bed next to me, pulling me into his chest.

“Charlie! Your all sweaty still!” I complained, a scrunching up my nose.

“So? I want cuddles.” He said, rolling his eyes and pulling me back into him.

I snuggled back into his side, wrapping my arms around his waist and resting my head on his chest, sighing contently.

“See? Not so bad.”

I rolled my eyes, watching as he scrolled through the movies.

“Oh my gosh! Put on After!” I gasped, swatting his stomach excitedly.

“Ok, sheesh.”

Charlie started running his fingers through my hair as we waited for the movie to load.

“I love you Savannah.”

I lifted my head and turned to look at him.

“Where’s that coming from?”

“I can’t tell my best friend that I love her without a reason?” He asked, still running his fingers through my hair.

“I guess so. I love you too dork.” I said, laying my head back on his chest.

“I don’t think you and I could ever be just friends Tessa.”

I peeled my eyes away from the screen and glanced at Charlie, who was already looking at me.
