This is Book 2 in a 3 part series of short stories AU on Klamille all inspired by songs.
Book 1 is Toxic: Klamille and sets up the connection to Cami while she is a human. Klaus is the one toxic to the connection and has set up a foundation of mistrust in their "relationship."

Klaus POV
Klaus continues to hold the picture frame and stares at his Brave Bartender as tears roll down his face.

He remembers the night so clearly, he had asked her if he could paint her, and after much convincing she let him. He did it knowing that he was going to compel her to forget him, but he was never going to be able to forget her, so he wanted the picture to remember his beautiful therapist.
A lot of time and things have happened since that night. Including, Aurora happening and long story short, Cami became a vampire, and all that bitterness of their past found its way back. Now, Klaus can't even recognize what they are together. They are just Poison to each other.
He misses her when he can't sleep, and when he is at a corner cafe, hell he even misses the way she would change the dial on the radio station every 5 seconds. He fucked around and got attached to her, now he just types out text only to delete them. They have sex, a lot it actually, but he wants more, but she doesn't want him like that, at least she won't say it if that's so. She won't even let anyone know they see each other. She sneaks around like he isn't good enough for her, like he is still a monster. She said she would never hurt him, but that is all she keeps doing. Pulling him in, just to push him away. He feels like she has lied to him, he can't help but reminiscence about their past, toxic as it was he always trusted her, hell he think he even loved her. But, now trust feels like it's gone, yet he can't move on. He still just wants her on his arm, he wants to prance her around by his side out in public for the world to see who he is with. But, she comes over and lies with him getting her fix before leaving him with too many emotions, alone.
