The is a sequel to this book and it will be the final in this 3 Part Short Story Series. There will be a 5 year time skip.
As much I as I enjoyed writing a darker type fic with angst, which I really did. (It was nice to write something different and I was inspired by different songs to write these characters in this way.) I wanted to see what happens when the characters meet again after some time apart.

The song inspired me to write the characters: B/c they do love each other, but they hate each other too, and they hate that they love each other. (They just wish things were different and despite it they are drawn to each other)
This book parallels to Book 1 because I wanted to make Klaus the one that was toxic and confused and finding himself in the first book, yet we see that flipped in book 2. Cami is now the one that is more toxic and confused and finding herself in this fic. In the first book, Klaus has Cami under a spell of sorts, knowing that the relationship is bad, but craving him anyway and in this book we see the opposite. Cami has Klaus under a spell of sorts even though they both know the relationship is bad.
It was interesting in Book 1 that Klaus wanted her to be a vampire so bad he almost murdered her, yet in this book he gave her the choice. Similarity, Cami was adamant about not being a vampire in Book 1, yet in book 2 when forced to choose between die or become a vampire, she chose eternity, even as a "monster".
Another parallel between the books was that in Book 1 Cami wanted Klaus to let her in and to understand him and in Book 2 Klaus wants Cami to let him in and to understand her.
Klaus in his own head in book 1 and Cami was in her own head in book 2 so it will be interesting to see what happens in Book 3.
