Chapter 6

Greg's POV

Today is the day - the vacation. Kate is helping me with all the packing and we are almost done. "Daddy, do you need anything?" she asks. "I guess we have everything," I say while reading my book. "Daddy?" Kate shows me what she has found - my yellow sock! That's embarrassing. "I'll put it in the laundry basket," she tosses the sock into the basket.

"Greg, it's the time!" Thomas says. "I'll help with the luggage," Kate takes them out. I'm going to miss that child when I'm on vacation. She put a decree on her old dad. "Mummy, do we to go on this vacation?" Andy asks Vanessa. "Yes! Your sibling put a decree on it and we all have to go," she puts the luggage into the car boot. "Why isn't she going?" asks Dylan. "Daddy can get to know you two a bit more at a personal level," says Kate walking out.

Kate's POV

It seems Dylan and Andy are not so keen on the trip. Hey, I put an order on it! They have to go. "Are you sure you can handle this, kiddo?" asks daddy before he gets into the car. "Yes, daddy! The Wiggles will help me out," I say. "Okay, if anything happens, you know what to do," adds daddy. Yes, I know. Daddy, just go on your vacation! I thought. "Murray, Kate will depend on you while I'm gone," says daddy. "She'll be fine, Greg! Don't worry!" Murray assures him.

"Okay, bye! I love you, kiddo," daddy hugs me. "I love you too, daddy!" I kiss daddy before setting off on his deserved vacation. As the car starts, all of us send daddy off with a curtsy and a bow. Somehow, I start to miss daddy already. "Come, Kate," Murray leads me back into The Wiggles House. The first day as an acting ruler, it's going to be tough but I know I can do it.

I get everyone in line to see if there is anything that needs to add on or there are some duties that daddy is yet to complete. "Princess, usually Greg has this book to record the royal duties. I'm sure you have seen it a few times," Louise hands me over the book. "Thank you," I take over and have a look. When I flip to the year that mummy was supposed to do, but she passed away during that period. "Your mummy wanted to do this. Greg was eager to do this but one sickness took her away and it was on the list ever since," says Murray.

That is going to change when daddy gets home in three weeks. "Right, let's get going!" I close the book and put it back where it belongs. "Princess, are you sure about this?" asks Thomas. Of course, I am! I'm the princess reagent as of now, I must finish where my parents left off. I'm sure everyone understands," I say firmly. "As you wish, princess," says Thomas. I don't know what is up with Thomas today? He is daddy's most trusted aide, strange, anyway, let's get on with work!

Greg's POV

Sneaky princess! I'm starting to like this vacation arranged by Kate. She is just like her mummy - smart and knows how to get her way. "Mummy, are we sure this vacation will go well? I don't have a good feeling about this," says Andy. "We're going to be okay! Your sibling put a decree on it," Vanessa assures him.

There we are! Wiggle Bay! Kate loved going to this place when she was a young princess.

16 years ago

"Daddy, come on! " the young princess squealed in delight as her proud parents looked at their almost five-year-old. The family was on a vacation in advance to celebrate Kate's fifth birthday as Greg and the OG Wiggles at that time were going on a tour to the US. He wished he could bring Kate along.

"How long you're going to be away this time?" asked M. "Two months. I know this is the longest time I have been away from the two of you. We'll chat on MSN or I'll call over," said Greg reassured M that everything was going to be okay.
