"Excellent work! As expected from my number one student!

Several groans were heard of young adults as they stared at their teacher praising another.

The teacher stood up from his chair, frowning at the rest of his students. "As for you all... you could have done better on this project." He lectured, walking around the student that he had praised.

She was a young woman with long brown hair and sapphire eyes. She wore her standard uniform for Destiny University---a white buttoned up dress shirt with the college logo on her breast pocket and a black pleated skirt. She refused to turn around, staring at the blackboard in front of her. Her name was Lorelei Valkyrie and she was the adopted daughter of King Mickey and Queen Minnie---two anthropomophic mouses and the rulers of Disney Castle. She had gone to kindergarten all the way to high school in Radiant Garden; however, she decided to go to Destiny Islands for college, enlisting herself into Destiny University.

A public university that had the regular curriculum, except it contained no classes that had training or other useful assets. The hours were flexible if she needed to be somewhere at a certain time.

As the teacher behind her scolded the rest of his students, Lorelei's mind wandered around, wishing she was back in the apartment she was renting and curl up in her bed with a warm blanket wrapped around her.

Anywhere would have been better than being here with these spiteful students along with praising teachers.

If I had known that life was like this, I wouldn't have left in a hurry from Disney Castle. At least there, the rest of the worlds wouldn't have known of my existence. She was half tempted to walk out of class and leave on the next Gummiship back 'home'. Home... She always wondered what that word meant in her head.

That word has been brought back, over and over again, and it was always debatable---where was home?

Before she could think further upon that word, a hand suddenly clasped on her shoulder, startling her out of her thoughts.

"Seeing as Lorelei is the only one who passed the assignment, she will be excused from class today." He announced, causing the students to groan and whine, saying that it wasn't fair to the rest of them. "Be quiet!" She then looked at the young woman, who kept her eyes on the blackboard, and smiled. "You may gather your things and go to the library if you'd like."

Without looking at him, she turned her body and bowed, remaining silent. She then walked through the rows of desks towards the back where she enjoyed her solitude most of the time.

Several students glared at her as she made her way to her desk.

She ignored their gaze, knowing why they all hated her. She was the daughter of two royals and they speculated that she was a 'spoiled brat' yet she was not. She simply did not want to associate with anyone that she found uninteresting and a bore. Finally arriving to her desk, she found a small note on it. Oh look, another one... Without even looking at its context, she grabbed it and shoved it into her skirt pocket and placed her materials into her brown book bag she was given before making her way to the door at the front of the class.

Suddenly, a boy stuck out her leg which she had noticed a little too late, causing her to trip and stumble; however, she regained her balance by flailing her arms.

The teacher must have seen it, pointing at the student, "Detention for a week!"

"What!? For a harmless little prank!?" He exclaimed back, angry.

"Two!"

The male student wanted to protest, about to say that she wouldn't have been hurt; however, another student placed a hand on his shoulder, telling him that it wasn't worth it. He finally sat back and crossed his arms, angry.
