*VIOLETS POV*

Violet and Hannah's dorm

I finish fixing my hair in the mirror and turn to look at Fleur, as I wait for her to say something, I do a little turn on my spot and give her a smile.

"You look beautiful, V" she pushes herself off the bed, comes closer and hugs me.

"Thank you" I speak softly.

"Ugh, they grow up so fast" she pulls away and pretends to wipe a fake tear off her cheek.

"Oh shut up" I say jokingly and give her a kiss on the cheek.

"Promise me you'll tell me everything when you're back" she points her finger at me.

"Of course I will boo" I squeeze her cheeks.

The door opens and a smiley hannah comes in.

"Cormac's waiting for you" she looks me up and down "You're stunning".

"Thank you hannah" she smiles back at me.

"Well... you have to go now" Fleur says.

"Yeah, you coming?" I look at fleur.

She yawns "No, I think I'm just gonna nap in your bed, I'm too tired to deal with the boys right now"

"Okay then" I glance at myself in the mirror one last time and give the both of them short hugs "I'll see you guys after, love you" I wave goodbye and head to the common room, I look around and saw no familiar faces, so I just head out.

As I walk out, my eyes lay on a very well-dressed Cormac, he hasn't seen me yet, so I try to be as quiet as possible and scare him, but just as I was about to touch him, he turns around and stops me. I put my hands down immediately.

"Hey" he chuckles.

"Hi" I know he can tell I'm embarassed, altough I try to hide it. He has that mocking smile on his face.

"You look gorgeus" he smirks "I mean you always do, of course".

"Thank you" I blush even more if possible and then say "you don't look so bad yourself" I smile, he looks amazing, but i'm not gonna tell him that, no need to boost his ego even more.

The Three Bromsticks

After talking for a while on irrelevant things such as homework and stuff, I think about all the times we've hung out, we've never talked about our families, so I decide to ask.

"What was your childhood like, if you don't mind me asking of course" I say nervously.

"Don't worry" he pauses "I don't really talk about it much" he scratches the back of his neck.

"You don't have to if you don't feel comfortable sharing this with me, i'll understand" I give him a comfort look and reach for his hand, I put mine over his for reassurance.

"I want to, it's just it's very hard for me to open up to people" I squeeze his hand "mum died when I was about three, so I have barely any memories from her, my dad was always out, I got to see him twice a week if I was lucky, I don't remember much though, it was always just me and Clara, she took care of me and she was the only parent figure I had all my life growing up" he pauses "she still is".

"Wow, Clara sounds very nice" I give him a small smile noticing the pain in his eyes.

"She is"

"I'm sorry about your mum"

"It's fine" his mood changes rapidly and he stares at me "anyway, enough of that, what about yours?"

"Well.." I sigh "it's not that different from yours honestly, both my parents were always working, they came home when I was already sleeping, so i just got to see them in the mornings. I was with my siblings all the time" I smile sadly remembering the past.
