Lunar's face is cast in shadow. She and Nidhogg stand across from each other. Despite the chilling rain and whispery breeze, Lunar does not shiver or turn pale from cold. Instead, she assesses her enemy.
"You should not be here, Nidhogg. You are not welcome."
Nidhogg's face is bare of emotion, amber eyes watching Lunar like a cat watches a mouse. "Change for the better never is. Not at first." He nods at her swords. "Legendary advancements are always met with rebellion. Rebellion," he growled, "that gets snuffed out."
"Whatever change you wish to bring about is not worth the lives your rampage could cost."
Nidhogg chuckles at this. "Could cost? Do you believe League Tyr fears the Blood Curse?"
Lunar lifts her chin. "I believe all this destruction comes with a cost, one I'm not willing to pay. No amount of life is worth your tyranny," she scorns.
"This world can only be braved by the strong. Those who are weak are powerless, and they will be eliminated. I learned this long ago."
"So I've heard. But you cannot justify murder with loss you've suffered decades ago."
Nidhogg lifts his sword. "I do not need to justify what I do." He begins to advance. "You don't have it in you to do what needs to be done, but I do."
"Lunar!" Nikki, Momo, and Bobo appear, horror on their faces when they see the two. Neither Lunar nor Nidhogg spare them a glance.
Nidhogg tightens his grip on the hilt, and goes to lunge. A blue bird with wide, powerful wings shoots down from the clouds, and barrels into Nidhogg. "Wh-" He falls over with a shout. The bird calls out again, diving once more. This time, Nidhogg swings at it with his sword. It brushes the birds belly, which screeches in pain.
Nidhogg turns back to Lunar. "Now!" she shouts. He dives to the side as Cloud soldiers that appeared behind Nikki begin firing. Nidhogg runs to the edge and jumps. Bobo gasps. Then, a black League Tyr helicopter piloted by Ozeca appears, ascending and moving North.
Nidhogg escapes. Lunar sighs. "We nearly had him," she murmurs.
Nikki hugs her, and Bobo joins. "All that matters is that you are ok. Perhaps League Tyr will leave Cloud now."
"Yes," Lunar replies, misty purple eyes looking up to the blue phoenix flying away. "Perhaps they will."
