Bad Dream

I walked through the small door of Edgar's apartment. I didn't know what time it was, but it was pitch black outside. I strided around, as if I knew the place. I delicatley touched the desk near his room, as to not alert him of my presence.

I entered his bedroom, and smirked at the sight that greeted me.

Edgar had his back to me, and was drying his hair with a towel. The only censorship of his body was a loosley wrapped towel around his waist. I watched as he pulled on his own nightclothes, still not noticing my presence.

Still under this spell, I walked to him and hugged him from behind, delicatley tracing my finger down his stomach.

I woke up sweating. There was definatley something wrong with me. Something horribly wrong. I laid back down in my bed, and felt movement next to me. I shrieked and sprung up, pulling off my blankets with me.

Edgar laid there, silent and motionless. Even with all the noise and ruckus about, he didnt stir from his sleep. I then noticed that Edgar was in nothing but his boxers. I looked down at myself, realizing I only had my underclothes on. I came to the realization that Edgar and I may have possibly had intercourse. I slunk against the wall, and surveyed the room. There was nothing out of the ordinary, besides scratch marks on the wall behind the bed..most likely from me.

I wrung my hands, and jumped from the sudden cold. I held my hand up in the dim light, and realized I had a small, silver ring on my finger. Upon closer inspection, I found there was a small diamond in the very center of the ring.

I felt arms wrap around my waist and someones lips at my neck. Despite the new and strange way it felt, I leaned into it.

"Did you sleep well, luv..? You were thrashing about for quite a while after we had our fun.." I shuddered. Edgars tone was too sweet for me, and it felt all too comforting.

"I slept fine. What happened..?" He looked at me with a crooked smile that only he could pull off. Edgar ruffled my hair, taking locks of it in his hand and kissing it tenderly.

"I proposed, and you said yes. You were rather ecstatic." He kissed the top of my head, and I vaguely remembered a ring being placed on my finger and kissing Edgar more and more as that night wore on.

I pointed to the bed and the scratches, blushing hard.

"Did we...?" He nodded, a small smile playing at his lips.

"Aye. We did. You're a loud one, I'll tell you that." He rubbed the back of his head and blushed. I stared down at the floor, trying to remember exactly what happened the night before. I was disturbed by the feel of my heavy blanket being thrown over my shoulders and lips being pressed against mine.

"You must be freezing dressed like that." I gave a meek thank you, wrapping myself in the blanket tightly. This was all too new for me. I rummaged through the drawers in my dresser, pulling out my nightgown and throwing it on.

"...we actually did it.." Edgar exclaimed, amazed. I held my head down in frustration. I crawled back into bed, closing my eyes tight. I felt Edgar's arm wrap around me and pull me close to him. I squeaked and let myself become enveloped in his warmth. It felt nice, to be honest. I've never been embraced like this, let alone kissed by a man, which was strange, seeing as how I was in my early twenties. I leaned into it, taking in Edgars scent and wondering how I got myself into this mess.

I stirred from my sleep, cold and alone now. I surveyed my room for any sign of Edgar, and then ran into my bathroom to rid myself of the actions we did the previous night. As the hot water ran down my back, I held my head against the cool tile, thinking of the case I was assigned. Elaine and Archibald were getting a second autopsy done after I examine the bodies more thoroughly. I didnt quite understand it, but I had a hunch that everything was about to get much, much stranger. I stared at my arm, watching the blood run down. I must've opened it up a while ago, seeing as I had to scrub off the dried blood covering the entirety of my forearm. It didn't sting when I used some cheap whiskey to clean it out. I'll have to remind myself to check in with a doctor for stitches. I didn't want this to become bigger than it already was.

I checked the time. It was early. I decided to go out to see Lauren and Harold, to ask them some more questions. I wrote a note to anyone who would happen to stride into my home, namely Jin and Eliot, telling them I was out on business as usual.
