Of Second Chances

"Singto! Singto" He started as he felt a pointy nail poke his sides, "Earth to Singto!"

"Stop clawing me Boom, your fangs hurt"

The gorgeous girl flicked her now shortened hair to the side and smirked, "What's with the long face? I thought your semester was going well?"

"I.." How was Singto supposed to explain that he was still caught up on a passionate encounter from six months and still went to the same club every Friday in hopes of catching the beautiful man from that night.

If he only he had not run away.

"What's up guys?" The tanned man startled from his reverie as he saw his two other best friends trooping in, sliding casually into the booth of the sunlit cafe. Taking a hasty gulp of his steaming coffee, he looked to the side avoiding meeting the eyes of a certain someone.

Things between him and Stud were still kind of awkward. He'd gotten over his wild streak pretty quickly, but he knew whatever had happened had scarred his best friend as much as him and P'Sam.

"Hey Singto" The fond look in his friend's eyes was as affectionate as ever and yet different. Things weren't the same, but they were getting there. Slowly, but surely.

"Hey 'Tud, how's P'Kan?"

A pretty blush settled into the pale cheeks, as the girls oohed and aahed at the cheekily asked question, "He's good"

"I can't believe this manwhore is the first one of us to settle down" Boyo muttered rebelliously, taking a delicate sip of her iced tea

"Oh please Yo" Stud scowled at the girl, "You are perfectly happy being single for a change"

"True" She shrugged, "Doesn't mean we don't feel hopelessly single around you and P'Kan. You guys have a pink glitter cloud following you around"

"Now, now Yo" Singto interrupted, "Let Ai'Stud have his honeymoon phase, c'mon"

The other guy smiled at him gratefully, acknowledging the save with a nod of his head.

"Boys" Boom sprawled over the sofa, twirling her straw thoughtfully, "Let's get out of here this city for a while, I need a change of scenery"

"Boom you know I cant-"

"That's the only good idea you've had in the past two month-"

"Can I get P'Kan-"

"No" Three incredulous yells rang out at the last question.

"No partners Ai'Stud" Boom glared, "It's going to be singles only trip"

"Boom" Singto sighed, "My course-"

"Shut up Ai' Sing" Stud interrupted, "Your spring break is coming up anyways"

"Okay" The tanned man paused, "But no P'Kan"

Two girls and one grumpy man stood sweating at the ferry point and glared at the couple nuzzling in the corner.

"I thought we told him not to bring P'Kan along" Boyo muttered, desperately dabbing at the stickiness on her face.

"Should have known that Stud was upto no good when he volunteered to plan the trip" Boom added, "Like when has he ever taken on extra work for himself"

Singto shrugged half-hearted and looked away from the pair. Not long ago, his friends would have been grumbling about him and..

"P'Sam" Singto whispered in a watery voice, "Are you sure?"
