I was late to class for the first time this year. Of course I wasn't really late, I just wasn't ten minutes early. As I took my seat I looked around, everyone seemed... tense? As if they were prepared for bad news but didn't know what it was yet. Wait until they heard, maybe they would actually be happy about it. I continued to look over my notes in the next couple minutes before class. I wasn't really paying attention until I heard Aizawa begin to speak.

"I regret to inform you," he started, looking as though he were deeply troubled, "We experienced a great tragedy last night. Your... classmate... well... in what is an apparent suicide, Mineta has... died." That sounded rough. I don't think he was prepared for that. What great tragedy was it really? There's no real tragedy in getting rid of someone who must have been close to getting a reward on his frequent harasser card. The hush turned into murmurs, until we were silenced.

We worked in near perfect silence the rest of class. Although I couldn't show it, I was pleased. The class was peaceful. Even Bakugou seemed appropriately quiet for the occasion, not that I really understood the need for such a somber mood.

"I can't believe he killed himself..." Uraraka sounded like she might cry. "I mean I didn't like him or anything... but... I just, wow..."

"I know exactly how you feel," I said, "It's so extreme and sudden, I wonder what made him do it." All I had to do was act natural.

"It could've been anything really, I mean he didn't have any real friends, nobody really liked him, all he ever really wanted was girls and all of the girls hated him..." Midoriya got into his mumbling, theorizing about what lead to a suicide that didn't happen.

"Do you guys... hm, do you guys want to come over later?" Uraraka was talking to both of us, but she was looking at Midoriya when she said it. "Since it's a Friday it's not a school night... I don't really wanna think about what happened."

"Yeah I'd love to." I actually meant that. Uraraka and Midoriya were my best friends. Naturally Midoriya agreed as well, with his obvious crush on her.

"Maybe we should invite Todoroki too?" Uraraka looked across the lunch room, where Todoroki was sitting by himself. He'd been acting a bit weird lately.

Uraraka went over to his table, leaving Midoriya and I alone. They appeared to talk for a minute, before she came back alone. "He said he would come." And that was that.
