Tomorrow was Erica's birthday.Lucas,Eathan,and I were planning on throwing her a surprise party while our dads went down tothe city fo three days.Today was the lastday they were gonna be home.Me and Ethan were retuening home from the town rught now.We arrived in the barn.We called out for Lucas and Eria but no one resoonded.Ethan said "shh."He walked sloly towards the loft where Eria slept.On top of the loft was Lucas.He hd. Black eye,and judging by his arm it was broken.Looked like he had taken a beating by no other than John.John was Erica's and Ethan's dqd.He was the reason behind our suffering.I looked down at my brother,gently brushed hair."What happened?"He looked up and said "They took Erica...I tried to stop them but I couldn't.I turned around to look for Lucas but he was gone running towards the house.
I ran after him and told him to help Lucas,I wasn't good with wounds.I unlocked the house as if it was. Normal work day and started to prepare dinnr.I heard the floor creaking above me.I looked towards the coat rack.John and my Father had left for the city.Who was upstairs than?It had been two days since me and Ethan left for the city.So Erica had been here for two days.I ran upstairs to the bathroom and found Erica in the corner.She was covered in sick and was shaking in a bathing suit.She had bruises up and down her body.I walked towards her.She was asleep.I felt her forhead,she had a slight fever.Since our dads were gonna be in the city for the next fhree days i took advantage of this and put Erica in a spare bed down the hall.I ran and got Lucas and Ethan.
