What does it mean to be resilient? What I think it means is when a person can take a hard hit physically or mentally and get back up. When I played football I had to take hard hits. When a loved one died I had to take hard hits. I couldn't just lay there, I had to get back up. In my life Ive seen hard hits. When Kobe Bryant died everyone took a hard hit. But over time people got back up. Did you know that talking about what you're going through is being resilient? It opens the minds of people because it helps them understand. I once was being resilient and not even knowing it. My friend would always come to class sad. But one day she came to class late and crying. I asked her what was wrong. She said " I had a flashback of my dad". And at that moment I remember she told me her dad died. We talked about it and she eventually got counseling. So what I think it means to be resilient is to help others when they can't help themselves.
