Hey Macarina!
I adore Mozzy and Nate. They remind me of someone... oh yes, Bowie and myself! Ahahahaha!
ENJOY!
NATAHN
I burst through the doors of the nurse's office and everyone stopped to look at me.
“Where is he?” I panicked, rushing further into the room and looking at the bed they were crowding around. The principal was here, as well as Moses' parents and the nurse. Moses waved at me from the cot, a plaster over his throat.
“What the hell happened?” I turned on the nurse, who seemed stunned by the way I addressed her.
“Calm down, Nathan,” the principal said to me. I opened my mouth to say something to him, then changed my mind and closed it. I took a deep breath and looked to Mozz.
“You alright?” I asked him. He smiled and nodded, then lifted his right eyebrow, signalling he'd tell me everything that happened when we were alone. I nodded and stepped back, resting across another bed and crossing my arms over my chest.
“So what's the official report?” I asked. As school captains, Moses and I were entitled to know this kind of information.
“Well, we can't have someone who attempted murder running around the school. But since neither Moses or Tao got a chance to see his face, there's not a lot I can do. We've reported it to the police. But we can't expect the criminal to just come forward. We aren't even aware if it was a student or not. I doubt it'd be any of my teachers, but someone could have broken in. The police are scouting around for evidence,” Principal explained. I played with my bottom lip as I thought about it.
“We've got more patrol members now. One of us will stay with Moses at all times to make sure whoever did this doesn't try it again. I don't know if the guy who did this would be willing to take on two of us considering he caught Moses alone with his guard down,” I told them. They all seemed to agree.
“I'm going to be installing a camera security system around the school now. A camera in each classroom and a few in each hall. I haven't decided about the bathrooms and dorms yet. Though the students should be entitled to their own privacy, of course,” Prinp said to me.
“Sometimes it's hard to see the line between the students safety and their privacy,” Mr Frazier grumbled. His wife patted his arm.
“I agree. I don't know if I want my son coming to a school that has a murderer wondering around freely,” she spoke up.
“He's not a murderer as far as we know. He's only attempted it and there's no record of anyone in this school with a criminal background,” I told her. “Moses and I, and two other members on the patrol are advanced martial arts experts. There are a few others too that I can call upon. He's safer here than anywhere else.”
Mr and Mrs Frazier, who knew me very well for a long time now, knew I would never put Moses' life in danger. They nodded, accepting the circumstances.
“That's settled then. Moses, never go anywhere alone for now. If someone is busy, wait with them until they are free, understood?” the principal told Moses, who nodded. He didn't seem very worried about the whole thing, except being a little shaken. He was a lot braver than I was.
