When the bell rang for lunch, I bolted from my seat and went out of the door. i went to my locker and put my stuff in and walked to the cafeteria.
I felt a hand grip on my arm and drag me into a dark hallway. I gulp and turn around.
It's Ashley.
"What's up with you and Justin?" She said with anger in her voice.
"N-nothing is up."
She pushed me into the wall digging her finger nails on my skin. I winced and looked away from her.
"Don't you fucking lie to me. I saw how you two were walking into the school holding hands like you're suddenly a couple and all that shit. And to top it all off, I saw you kiss before the bell rang." She glared at me.
"So what if we are something? Is it any of your business?" I said with confidence. I push her off of me and walk out of the hallway.
I walked into the cafeteria and saw Justin sitting at our usual seat. He sees me and smiles at me.
I won't let Ashley control me anymore. I won't let anyone control me anymore. It's time to be myself and hide behind the shadows.
